"Finley get up, I can't stand to see you sleeping through another day." The boy spoke as he looking across the room to find her sister curled up into her bed her honey colored hair a mess across her pillow, she sighed opening her eyes to her brothers voice a pang hitting her chest at the thought of getting out of bed.

"Can't you just leave me alone, Alex." She sighed her face pressed into her pillow the same old place she always rested her head leaving a permanent dent into the plush cotton.

The older boy huffed with the shake of his head growing frustrated with his sisters constant isolation, he couldn't remember the last time she was out of bed or even on her phone she's always just there sleeping like her dreams were the places she wanted to be most.

"Finley, please." He sighed his voice going quieter than before showing his desperation "I made ten extra bucks on my shift today, I want you to take it and go get yourself a coffee or something, you need out of this house and I mean it." He simply stated not giving her a choice anymore.

Alex wanted to jump in excitement when his sister slowly rose from bed a frown lined on her lips while turning to look at him "Fine." She whispered running her fingers through her tangled blonde curls that needed a serious comb through.

Her tongue swiped across her chapped lips as she stood up her body aching from laying for so long, she already wanted to go back to bed but she had committed this far into pleasing her brothers wishing and she knew he wouldn't shut up about it until she did it "I'll take a shower and go." She sighed a smile breaking out on Alex's face with a nod his back turning to walk out of her room and shut the door behind him.

She never once looking in the mirror while getting ready for a shower her eyes avoiding to look up afraid of what she'd see looking back at her, afraid of seeing what she had done to herself.

The water soothed her skin as it ran down her body the soapy suds scrubbing across her naturally freckled arms, her eyes closed taking in the relaxing moment finding comfort over the sound of running water.

Finley wasn't one to let anyone know what she was feeling, it wasn't like she had many friends anyways the poor girl had barley gained an education passed the fifth grade from being removed out of public school, when she left the house it was either to follow her brother like a lost puppy or being forced to see other family she barley knew.

Lonely. Is the best way to describe Finley, lonely and depressed. On bad days she barley knew what she was still doing alive, she knew her life would be forced to start at the age of eighteen when she wasn't prepared at all, in the mind of the blonde she believed there wasn't anything she'd be capable of doing to make a life out of herself. Her brother had always been there to do the work.

Faint memories of her childhood would rarely put a smile to her face now, she used to think back to remember that happiness but now it's only a reminder of what she had and how much she missed the normalcy of her childhood back then.

Finley had never really been a normal child from the start, she was always quiet, even looking back on elementary school she still hadn't had many friends mostly because she was too afraid to speak up.

Then leading up to the anniversary of her parents marriage, it pained her to think of them, beating herself up over every detail before they had left that night for dinner and every detail to the moment they never came back, and just like that she never saw them again, it was as if they never existed.

"Finley!" "It's been almost forty five minutes!" Alex griped the pounding of the bathroom door causing her shoulders to jump and heart to leap quickly calming when she snapped her eyes open reaching for the nob to turn off the water "I'm coming." She sighed biting down on the inside of her cheek her long hair dripping onto the cracking tile floor under her feet as she began to dress herself.

It wasn't long until she swung open the bathroom door the cold air conditioning hitting her face harshly causing her to shiver.

Slipping on her same worn out pair of shoes and making a grab for her phone the screen coming to life revealing the same boring wallpaper she never changed since receiving the phone.

Finley made another grab for the sketch book and prismacolor pencils on her night stand before rushing after her brother already impatiently waiting for her in the car, his old 92 4Runner coming into view once she closed the front door behind her a surprised breath passing her lips at the heat outside already sweating from the Texas sun beaming down on her skin.

"Took you long enough." He teased while backing out of the driveway, barley giving Finley a chance to fasten her seat belt. She rolled her eyes at his comments sitting back in her seat letting out soft pants from rushing so much around the house, it was the most movement she had in weeks and her heart was pounding because of it.

"I'm dropping you off the coffee shop, I'm not picking you up until I'm done studying so get comfortable or walk around wherever you need a little bit of fresh air, I'll be awhile." He told her causing the brunette to shift uncomfortably a sigh passing her lips "Alex." She whined creasing her eyebrows in annoyance, they had already pulled up to the coffee shop just a few streets away and she already regret the decision of saying yes.

"Stop it Finley, you need human interaction this is ridiculous, make a friend!" "I mean fuck, do some drugs!" "Just something to get out of that god damn bed." He snapped a cold glare sent in her direction with worry hidden behind them, he just wanted his little sister happy that's all he's every wanted since the accident.

Finley's lips pouted info a frown her arms crossed as she forced down the lump in her throat, with a burst of anger she reached for her things climbing out of the old dusty car with a huff "Here." "Get something to drink." Alex sighed extending his hand close enough to her side of the open window as he could her honey colored eyes glaring down at the crumbly ten dollar bill "You should keep it for gas or groceries, you need to work." She mumbled turning her heels to walk away "Take it Finley, I have enough for gas just take the damn money." He sighed in annoyance her eyes rolling slightly before grabbing the bill.

"See ya." He smiled waving his hand slightly while she took steps back waving goodbye with a glare and frown earning a laugh from her big brother that had already driven off.
