finley"I didn't know you liked to draw!" "You didn't tell me I want to see it." She smiled making a grab for my notepad my eyes widening as I pulled away.
"I wanna seeee, let me seee." "Pleasee pleaseee." Billie whined as I laughed trying to run from her around the corner of the street I laughed at a sudden hand to my waist pulling me towards her my hand clasping around my notebook tighter.
"Billie." A warning voice called from behind us causing my smile to fall turning to look at the security guard standing a few feet behind us, Billie clearly frowned letting go of my waist a silence growing between us as she sighed.
"I want to walk alone." She whispered reaching over to grab my hand our hands clasping together as I sighed "They're trying to protect you Billie." I told her giving her hand a squeeze she scuffed rolling her eyes dramatically "More like babysitting I never run into anything on my own street." She grumped ticking her eyes to the side.
"Billie." His warning voice spoke again her face growing angrier before looking up to see two girls with big smiles on her face Billies hand immediately pushing mine away.
I watched Billies demeanor change immediately a smile lining her lips "Hey guys!" She gushed the two girls smiling brightly bringing Billie into a hug I smiled at the way she handled it talking to the both of them as if they were all best friends.
"What's your name love?" She asked pulling away slightly from the hug "Emily." "And that's Mabry." She told her my eyes watching her hands shake out of nervousness "C-Can we get a picture?" She asked handing out her phone towards Billie as she nodded taking a picture with the two girls that were gushing with excitement.
"It was really nice to meet you." One of the girls smiled hugging Billie a second time before they parted "Of course angels have a good day." She breathed waving as the two girls walked away smiling and talking a mile a minute to each other.
"Sorry." Billie breathed as we began walking again my eyebrows furrowing at her apology "Why are you sorry that was cute." I chuckled nudging her shoulder lightly she smiled with a small shrug "I didn't mean to push your hand like that, they just make stuff up ya know." She sighed biting down on her lip.
"I understand." I told her reaching over to give her hand a squeeze she turned her head towards me with another smile a mischievous one at that.
I gasped as she stole my drawing pad straight out of my hand a laugh escaping her lips as she rushed away from me.
"Billie!" I giggled rushing after her she laugh flipping through the pages as quickly as she could scanning over my small drawings.
"Whoa, wait what these are beautiful." She breathed stopping her tracks to look down at the drawings my anxiety rising as she flipped through more stopping at one of her the one I started on after I had met her, my cheeks turned a bright red when she smiled sweetly taking a step closer towards me.
"Finleyyy what the fuck these are awesome." She gushed I shook my head trying to hide my face "Come on I didn't try with these." I whined reaching over to grab it from her she sighed rolling her eyes once the notepad left her hands.
"That's a talent Finnie, you're actually really good at that." She told me I shook my head blushing beat red "I don't know, not really It's just something I do when I'm bored." I shrugged biting down on my lip.
"Well if I have shit I want drawn you're drawing it that shit is dope." She told me nudging my shoulder lightly, I smiled nodding my head.
She sighed turning her head to look at the lingering security guard behind us a slight frown lined on her lips "We should probably go back before someone else sees me." She suggested reaching over to grab my hand, I smiled at our connecting fingers turning back around with her.
"That ring looks good on you ya know." She smiled disconnecting our hands for a second to run her thumb over the silver, sometimes I forgot the ring was even there only really noticing when the light caught it's sparking detailed diamonds, it concerned me to even know the price of the damn thing it had to be expensive.
"Where did you get it?" I asked lacing our fingers back together, I loved the way her hand fit with mine her hands were small and mine bigger my slim fingers matching with hers like a puzzle piece.
She let out a pff shrugging her shoulders upwards "Hell if I know people give me that shit all the time but probably Cartier." She responded my eyes widening at the familiar brand "Cartier??" "I can't have this Billie what the hell thats expensive." I protested quickly reaching to remove the silver band.
"Woah woah, put that shit back on I want you to have it." She told me pushing the ring back up before I could remove it "This thing is probably worth more than my life I seriously can't."
"Come on Finley do you really think I care how much it is?" "It's a gift, it's yours, keep it." She breathed as I protested shaking my head "You might not care because you're used to this stuff but I do, it's too much." I sighed quickly being shut by Billies hand giving mine a squeeze "Girl shut the fuck up and keep it before I glue the fucking thing to your finger." She ordered, I couldn't help but laugh rolling my eyes.
Our walk continued on in silence her hand holding mine, it surprised me how accepting she was to hold my hand in public even now as people walked by, I noticed a few taking glances but never stopping to say a word I liked how her little neighborhood was kind of like a quiet safe haven, there weren't many people other than nearby neighbors so I can understand how invasive it must feel for Billie to see people she didn't know solely with the intention of just seeing her house.
I couldn't say I was ever obsessed with someone enough to want to causally walk by their house but people nowadays couldn't understand others personal space I guess, everyone was always so wrapped up in the thought of Billie that they hadn't stopped to think that maybe invading that privacy would affect her in any way.
Her soft humming brought a smile to my lips following her up the stairs to her front door, she gave the security guard a wave before he left giving him a go ahead to leave.
I softly let out a breath at the cool air hitting my skin once she opened the door closing it behind her, she sighed letting my hand go and taking a peak at the security guard that had already taken off a smile creeping on her lips.
"Thank god he's fucking gone, now we can go." She muttered my eyebrows furrowing in confusion when she grabbed at her car keys hanging by the door twirling them around her finger "Wait what?" I asked confused her eyes snapping towards mine giving me a smile.
"Oh you thought we were actually going home?" "Nah I was just trying to get his bitchass to leave, now follow me." She chuckled grabbing my hand and rushing me back out of the house following her towards the challenger in the driveway anxiously waiting to be driven in the driveway.
