"Okay um... I don't think 90 is the speed limit on this highway." I breathed clinging to the door handle of her nice car everything we passed was like a really fast blur my head was spinning I couldn't understand how Billie could even see where she was going driving as fast as she was.

Billie chuckled rolling her eyes playfully her hand sneaking over to rest at my leg "Trust me angel if I drove the speed limit in LA we'd never get anywhere, do you see all that on the other side." She chuckled pointing towards the bumper to bumper traffic that was on the other side of the barrier.

"Yeah but like I don't want to die so." I remarked resting my hand on hers that stayed on my leg her cold rings almost filling like a sting against my warm palm.

She chuckled shaking her head her foot hitting the accelerator a bit faster just to mess with me "Billie!" I whined giving her hand a light squeeze she laughed humorously slowing down her speed "You're lucky we're almost there." She teased my eyes lighting up wondering where she could be taking me.

"Where are we even going?" I asked her eyes snapping towards me with a smile "My favorite place." She replied not really answering the question I sighed taking a look out the window the city seeming to go by faster and faster barley being able to look back to see the buildings in the side mirrors.

It didn't seem long until she drove down a secluded driveway pretty acres of fields the only thing surrounding the narrow road "This basically just looks like Texas." I told her following her out towards the closed gated fence.

She opened it causing my eyes to widen "Billie!" "This is private property!" I scolded in a hushed tone she only flashed me a smile giggling softly "It's okay, they know me here." She breathed grabbing my hand to rush to wherever she was taking me.

I soon realized where we were when I saw the stalls the sound of horseshoes hitting pavement filling my ears, she took me to a certain stall a woman taking glance at us "Oh hi Billie it's nice to see you." She smiled carrying on with the two buckets she held in her hands, Billie muttered a soft hello pulling me towards the stall.

My eyes watched in amazement as a horse turned it's head its beautiful fully black mane turning towards the side.

"Hi baby." Billie gushed cutely a huge smile breaking out on her face while reaching forward standing on her tippy toes to run her fingers through the horses mane.

"This is marshmallow, she's my favorite." She told me, my heart melted at how much she lit up in this place I hadn't ever seen her this happy nor excited before.

"She's beautiful." I whispered reaching forward to pet her softly earning a small huff from her.

I watched Billie turn towards the woman that walked back "Hey molly can I take her for a second?" She asked politely the woman quickly nodding with a sweet smile "Of course, she hasn't seen you in awhile she probably misses you."

Billie smiled quickly rushing to unlock the stall "Will you hand me the reins?" She asked pointing towards the leather hung beside the stall, I nodded handing it over quickly, I was surprised by how much she knew to do with the horse quickly attaching the reins to the piece hooked to its head.

The horse followed Billie with ease as she lead her out towards an empty pasture.

"I didn't know you knew much about horses." I muttered following beside her closely she smiled nodding her head "I've always loved them, I used to work here before music.. I never got to ride them much.. sometimes I did but I just liked being around them, they're calming." She told me pulling softly on the reins when the horse came to a stop.

"It's surprising how trusting these people are after you have money, no one took me serious here before Molly was a bitch but now suddenly isn't, I guess having money gives people a reason to like you more." "It's disgusting but it's true." She sighed rolling her eyes I chuckled under my breath shaking my head.

"Yeah I get that, my brother is treated like dirt anywhere he goes it's like having money earns a high ranking and when you don't you're nothing but gum under the bottom of a shoe."

"Yeah dude that shit is so fucking dumb, like who gives a fuck how much money you make?" "As long as you're a good person that's all that matters." She scuffed kicking the dirt from under her.

I walked with her for awhile the air was still unlike in Texas the wind wasn't blowing practically at all it was just quiet and soothing.

"This is why I like to be out here it's quiet." She whispered her eyes searching over the area with a smile.

The moment cut short almost immediately as of on cue when her phone rung loudly she sighed out of annoyance reaching to answer it.

I could hear yelling over the phone from the air being so quiet and still, whoever had called was clearly upset causing Billie to frown.

"Seriously??" "Mom I was jus-"

"But-" She tried speaking but could barley get a word in over her mothers screaming mixed with someone else's voice in the background.

She went quiet for a second her face clear of any emotions, she was clearly upset I could see it she just hid it from me.

"Fine whatever, I'll come home." She sighed out of defeat hanging up as her mom was talking mid sentence "Is everything okay?" I asked softly kind of scared of the look on her face she took a glance towards me tugging at the horses reins to walk back, she didn't say a word she just stared off in anger her hand leaving mine.

I wish there was something I could do to help but she was so stubborn and could never switch her mood when she was already angry, I hated when she was upset it felt almost as if she was mad at me when she wasn't, she's infuriating to read nearly impossible with that blank face of hers.

"Billie-"

"I don't want to fucking talk right now Finley just leave it alone." She spat her tone making my stomach sink, I frowned following behind her barley able to keep up as she practically left me behind to put the horse back up.
