The Body Swap (completed)

CHP13

Saturday passed by in a blur and it was already Sunday. Alex was glad that her mom didn't bite her head off for constantly lying.

Yesterday , at lunch things went pretty well. Nick and Daniel seem to have bonded because of their interest in cooking. Her mom scolded her but didn't kill her. Luke , well , he had a pretty good time.

But out of everything that happened during lunch, there was only one thing that kept playing again and again in her head. Something that her mom has said.

"If only Luke came first than Sean. He is a much better kid for you."

Maybe its time to spend some time with him today. They never really bonded anymore due to the swapping problem.

She went downstairs and straight towards the kitchen. There was a note on the fridge saying: 

Went to get some files at work. I'll be back soon.

Alex couldn't help but admire how her mom loves work that much. She didn't bemoan about her mom being workaholic because it gave her more time to be alone.

She pulled out a box of orange juice and filled a glass cup with it. Noticing that she forgot her phone to call Sean on his whereabouts, she went towards the stairway with the glass of orange juice still in hand.

She passed by the living room which was on her left. Alex stepped on the first step of the stairway but something made her stop. She took a sip on her juice before walking backwards and taking a peek on the living room and there sat on the couch was Sean! She spat the juice which was in her mouth.

Sean stood up and moved closer to her. Her heart was out of her ribcage from shock.

"Hey Alex."

"Sean! What are you doing here? You gave me a heart attack!"

"I just wanted to see you that's all."His smile was sweet and caring.

"Wait. You invited yourself in?"

He shrugged. "Kind of."

"Anyways it's good you came. I thought we could go out."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

There was a knock on the door accompanied by muffled voices. Alex with Sean behind her motioned to the door. She unlocked the door to see Isabelle and Nicole on the front porch.

"Oh good Sean came to check on you. We came to see if you're still alive." Isabelle said , no signs of humor heard on her tone.

"I'm still alive. Thank you for worrying."

"Hurry up and change your Marvel PJ's we are going to the mall."Nicole said.

Sean faked a cough." Ladies sorry but she's spending the day with me. You can go to the mall next time."

"Romeo you can have her later but now her arse is ours." Nicole grabbed Alex's wrist and pulled her but Sean grabbed her other arm.

She felt like she was in the middle of a feud. And if she makes a wrong move, all hell will break loose.

"Let go Sean."Isabelle stated.

"Guys if you want to gaze into each others soul then leave me out of it." Alex said.

Nobody spoke, just kept staring at each other. Alex looked at Sean with pleading eyes. His aura was cold but she managed to break it. Sean let go of her wrist and her two friends had smug looks on their faces.

"You two can wipe that smug look of your faces. This is a one time thing." Sean said irritated.

"Its chics before dicks."Isabelle mocked.

After she changed, Isabelle and Nicole dragged her almost immediately out  of the house and away from Sean. He followed them.

They got into the car while Alex turned to apologize to Sean. She didn't need to. His nod showed that he understood.

He kissed her lightly on her forehead.

"Why are you wearing a hoodie? The weather is kind of hot today."

She looked down on the hoodie she was wearing. It was the hoodie Luke gave her. Alex didn't know what to say.

Isabelle who was on the driver's seat honked the car which made Alex jump a little.

"Okay love birds. That's enough."

Sean looked at them, mouthing the words fuck you.

"Don't fuck us dearest, fuck her but not now."Isabelle said. Alex became embarassed by what she said. That was a bit loud.

Sean pecked her lips before wearing his helmet and riding his motorbike. It roared and just like that he was gone.

Alex's mind couldn't function clearly. Guilt was consuming her inside out. She removed the hoodie and thought of returning it to him.

She looked outside the window. They were near his apartment building. Maybe she could just drop it off. Just looking at the hoodie made her even more guilty.

"Hey Isabelle can we drop by somewhere for a sec?"

"Sure. Yeah."

She gave her directions of where they need to go. Three minutes passed by and they arrived. Isabelle stopped the car. They looked at Alex.

"So what would we do here?"

"Oh no. You guys stay here and wait till I get back."

"Come on Alex. We'll come with you." Nicole got out of the car followed by Isabelle. "We're already out of the car so.. You can't stop us."

'This was a bad idea'

She couldn't do anything to stop her friends. It was useless. They'll always win. They entered the building and went to the floor where their apartment was located.

Alex knocked on the door. No response. She turned the knob of the door but it was locked. "I guess nobody's home. We should go now."

"Hold on. We didn't come all this way for nothing." Isabelle removed a hairpin placed on her head. She inserted the pin on the knob and shazam! The door creaked open.

"Are you two fucking crazy?! This is breaking and entering."

"We didn't enter yet."Isabelle said.

"And we haven't broken anything yet." Continued Nicole.

They went inside. Alex couldn't do a thing but follow them inside.

"Guys I am telling you. Nobody's home. Now let's go before we get in trouble."

"What happened to Troubling Alex?" Nicole said.

"She's not here at the moment!"Alex hissed.

Isabelle snorted. "Come on, Nancy Drew kept breaking into people's houses and nobody gave a crap about her."

A door opened and the three ducked behind the couch. They stayed quiet for a moment. There were no noises.

Alex peeked and saw Luke wearing nothing but a skimpy towel. He had just got out of the bathroom. Nicole and Isabelle were peeking as well.

"I'm liking this turn of events."Isabelle whispered.

A heartbeat has passed and Alex found herself on Luke's body. No, no, no, no! Worst timing! She was screaming internally. How could she put on clothes without seeing his body?  They should've have drop by his place. This was a huge mistake.

Alex froze.

'If I am in his body then ...'

Slowly she turned to the couch where Isabelle, Nicole and herself hid. She caught herself peeking. Only now, it was  Luke in her place and was the one looking at his own body.

"Crap."She muttered.
