CHP21

Nick, Vanessa and Nat sat on the couch. A pile of empty pizza boxes was on the table in front of them.

It was only now that Vanessa ate that much pizza again throughout the whole three months.

She looked at Nat."God, how much pizza did you order?"

"I forgot."Nat laughed guiltily, patting her stomache. She turned to look at Nick who was surprisingly not full. He was playing on his phone , a pepperoni pizza dangling in his mouth.

"Hey kid. How are you still eating?" She asked.

"Hm?"He didn't meet their eyes but instead kept playing. "You could say I'm one of those people who eat a lot and never seem to get full."

"Wha--? What are you playing? It's like you are in your own world."

Vanessa managed to laugh. "Yeah...kids these days."

"Can you pause that for a minute?"

"You can't pause an online game." Vanessa and Nick were in unison. Nat looked at both of them in disbelief. Nick was still focused and Vanessa had her eyes closed as she sat beside her.

"Yeah. No crap."

She didn't have time to take a breath because the moment Sonya stepped out onto the roof, a fist was lunged at her. She dodged.

With quick movements, she grabbed Kristina's held out hand and twisted it as far as she can. Kristina let out a cry in pain . She whipped her hair at her face and elbowed her using her other hand.

Sonya let go and immediately gave her a jab in the ribs. Kristina swung her arm forward, a dagger clutched in her hand. She ducked to avoid the sharp weapon.

Their hair went with the flow of the wind. Flapping dangerously and moving freely. Kristina gave a sinister smile and dropped her weapon. Sonya eyed it as it fell from the moving vehicle to the street. She knew exactly what she meant and she accepted it as a challenge.

"You want fists? Fine."She kept her gun at the back of her pants." Let's dance bitch." Kristina advanced first and she advanced also.

"Uhh...Guys we have a bit of a problem" Hacker said.

"I'm kind of busy here!"Sonya breathed out. Dodging. Punching. Fighting.

"We got company up ahead. They seem to be waiting for you at the next intersection. They blocked all the possible routes. It's like looking at a swarm of bugs from up here. "

Steel and Gunman looked at each other. "You thinking what I'm thinking?"

"You bet." Steel smirked as he took a turn and drove on to a different street.

Hacker was curious as to why they changed direction."Where the hell are you going?"

"Shortcut." He stepped on the accelerator to get there first as fast as he could.

Sonya kicked Kristina and brought her down to the ground. She pointed her gun at her and was about to shoot when the truck came to a sudden halt. Both women stumbled back.

"Ethan what the fuck!"She screamed.

"Arrived at the swarm of bugs you were talking about.It's about time to drive. A real drive."Ethan muttered as he gripped on the steering wheel tighter.

Steel and Gunman suddenly popped out through an establishment just in front of the aligned cars of Dr. Stanley's men. "Surprise motherfuckers!"

Half of Gunman's body was seen  through the little window on the top of the car. He had a gattling gun with him. He readied the gun and with a smile, shot continouosly.

"What...the fuck?"Ethan found himself saying.

"Guys you are destroying property... And you're making a bigger scene." Hacker said in a serious manner, switching through dozens of CCTV cameras that they showed up.

"We're already wanted Hacker. Everybody loves us!" Steel said.

"You are on live television you dimwits" Hacker said once again.They were almost in every channel of the television.

Luke and Alex just stood there, staring.. It's like watching a real action movie.

Just as the reporter was explaining what was happening, several police cars whooshed right behind her going into the action.

Alex was sure that Daniel was on one of those cars. She was also pretty sure that her mom was  watching all this madness.

Her heart was insanely out of control. Her mind was full of the endless possibilities that could happen. She just couldn't shake the thought that something bad is going to happen.

"Time to leave."Ethan muttered putting the truck in reverse and getting the hell out of the chaos.

"Sonya are you done up there?"

"Almost."Sonya said as she punched Kristina in the face before kicking her off the roof of the truck. She watched as she rolled on the street before finally turning to head back in.

Her lip was bleeding. She could taste the metallic taste of blood in her mouth. Quickly, she returned inside.

"Gunman you should be at your required location by now."Sonya hissed.

"Working on it."He said as he threw smoke bombs . Him and Steel taking the chance to speed away without getting spotted.

There were still cars on them. Police and Dr. Stanley's men. Ethan kept a good distance between them. Just enough to not get shot that easily. Sirens were on. Gunshots were heard. It was hell.

Police and the bad men raced to get to their prize. Them. The bad guys brought out an explosive and threw it at one of the police cars. The one on front. The explosion caused all the police cars behind it to stop.

One officer alerted Daniel who was still chasing them."Chief we got a car down."

Daniel and one other cop chose another street to catch up with them."Don't worry we still can kick these assholes asses. You stay there and check civilians that might have been hurt or wounded by the incident. The others could find another way."

"Copy that."

There were three cars still following the truck. Plus two police cars that happened to catch up. Ethan was still driving backwards.

He immediately recognized Daniel. Both of the cars they were driving were face to face."Oh look it's that asshole."

"Ethan you need to go at the dumpsite now. Gunman and Steel are already going there now." Hacker informed.

He was looking at the side mirror, still driving relentlessly."I know." Sonya had her arm out the window , gun in hand , shooting them one by one. Her main priority, the drivers.

Now there were two police cars plus one car of bad men.

"We need to lose them."

Ethan looked at her with a glint of mischievousness in his eyes.
"Exactly"He said, turning the truck back so he's driving forward again and taking a turn to the right.
