"It's often easier to fight an external enemy than to confront one's inner demons." -Ram Dass.

-Bi-Han's POV- "We have to leave! Now!" Hanzo gasps, bursting into the room where Kana and I are.
"What? What's going on. Where is Kuai?" I sputter.

"Graaaauggh!" A blood-curdling scream echoes from somewhere in the temple.
A blast of cold wind causes all the walls to rattle from the frigid strength.
Frost begins to form on the floors and walls.

"K-Kuai...."  I begin to walk over to the door.
Hanzo grabs my arm. "Don't. He is too unstable."
"That's my brother! Let me see him!"
"What? So he can harm you? We need to get away. If Kuai finds us..." Hanzo trails off, fear in his brown eyes.

"Let me go! I don't care if he hurts me! I just don't want him to hurt himself!" Tears flow down.
Hanzo looks at me sadly, and lets go.
"Find him." Is all he says.

I bolt off, nearly slipping in the frosted floor.
The closer I get to where we heard the scream, the colder it gets.
"Kuai Liang!" I scream, ripping open the doors to Hanzo's room. The room itself is a mess, with icicles splintering up from the hardwood floor.

I drop to my knees, watching snowflakes flutter down. I'm too late.... Kuai's already gone.
*****
-Kuai's POV- The moon shines high in the dark sky as I sit on a large branch. The snow far below me sparkles in the moonlight.
The snowy woods near the Lin Kuei Temple is a familiar sight to me.

I cup my hands near my mouth and blow into them.
A large snowflake sits in my palms. A gust of wind causes the snowflake to blow out of my hands and into the starry sky.
"Observe the power we can make together, Kuai."

I still can't say anything, only make noise.
"Isn't it beautiful?" He taunts, holding our hand out with glacial energy radiating a pulse like a second heartbeat.

'No,' I want to scream, to shout, to do something. But I can't. He has complete control. All I can do is think and watch. At least he can't read my mind.

"Kuai! Where could he be?" My frozen heart sinks.
'Big Brother! No, no, no! Leave!' I scream in my head. 'Leave before he finds you!'

"Ah," We see Bi-Han walking around below us.
"Let's play a little game with him, shall we, Kuai?"
'Go to Hell,' I want to snap back.

"Dà gēgē!" The corrupted form of me cries, using my hurt emotions to mess with Bi-Han in the worst way possible. Bi-Han jumps and looks up. His eyes widen, no doubt taking in my mess of a body.

"Kuai! What's wrong?! Are you hurt?"
Tears fall from my eyes, causing Bi-Han to now look very worried. "I'm hurting, Bi-Han! This blizzard in my chest burns so much!" I want to scream that it isn't true. This beast may sound like me, but I pray Bi-Han can see through his acting.

Bi-Han somewhat relaxes, probably seeing though it's facade, and decides to play along.
"Come here, baby brother. Let me comfort you."
'Bi-Han, please be careful...'
