I wanted to make an origin story for this universe and why its like that. SO here it is
Its approximately 1000 ago, and the pride-lands weren't formed yet. But that was about to change. You see there is an asteroid that got formed through some inter-dimensional rifts (cough cough spider verse cough) And it was on its way to earth, but it was too small and when it hit the atmosphere, it shattered. When these smaller bits of rock landed, they released a special type of energy, and for some reason NO humans were affected by this, they thought it was something else. But meanwhile in the pride-lands. A lion and his mate were walking with their cub when one of the 2 biggest chunks of the asteroid landed. The energy blast was more powerful.
The second one landed where the tree of life would be (which would explain its green light in the inside).
So now animals were able to understand each other and develop a human level of intelligence and Some were able to develop a human lifespan (IE lions, cheetahs, etc) And Im sure you know the rest of the effects which explains why the roar of the elders was even possible.
This applies to all of the stories in this book
