Chapter Four

I love you baby girl, don't forget what I said. If he does anything to hurt you I'll be there in a heartbeat okay

My dads voice filled my head, I smiled at the sound knowing that in only a few hundred yards the connection would be cut off. As soon as I left pack land my mental connection would be severed unless I was back on pack land, well that is up until the time when I'm marked and mated to Roman. Then the connection would be permanently severed.

If he marks and mates with me

I thought bitterly. I was broken from my thoughts by my cell phone vibrating in my pocket. When I pulled it out there were two messages one from Caressa and one from Ryker

Ress <3

Miss you already. I'm in your room packing boxes and bawling my eyes out.

I typed a quick reply and hit send before opening the second message

Ryker

First sign of trouble call me and I'm there. No matter what time of the day or night. I love you sis

I couldn't help sigh as I read his message, he had always been fiercely protective of me ever since we were little

"Dean unless you want your ass handed to you again I suggest you stop staring at my mate"

I quickly looked up from my phone as my mate spoke and then looked over at the guy beside me who was still glaring at me. I guess grey wolfs name was Dean.

"Uh hi. I'm Livaya, sorry about earlier"

I held my hand out to be polite but he just glared at it and turned to look out the window. Okay that was a fail

"Don't worry about him he's just mad that you kicked his ass"

I turned to the guy on the other side of me and smiled, it was the first time id taken notice of him and he looked peculiar, he had black hair except for one side that was bleach blonde

"I'm Seth by the way"

I shook his hand as he held it out but quickly dropped it when Roman growled

"Nice to meet you"

I murmured before turning back to my phone. I decided it would be best if I kept my head down and avoided communicating with Seth and Dean since it seemed to piss of my volatile mate, I could literally feel the anger rolling off him.

As we passed over the border I felt the mental connection with my pack break, an emptiness and a sudden sadness filled me and I let out a heavy sigh. We were driving for maybe a half hour when I became sleepy all of a sudden. I leaned my head back against the leather seat and within minutes I was asleep.

When I woke up it had gone dark and we were pulling up in front of a huge house. I looked down and realised my head was resting on someones shoulder, jolting up quickly I came face to face with my mate. I guess he had swapped seats with Dean who was now in the front.

"Sorry"

I mumbled as I did my best to tidy myself up. He simply glanced at me and stepped out of the vehicle as it came to a halt. I climbed out and went to get my bags but was stopped by Roman who grabbed my wrist.

"They'll bring them"

I sent Dean and Seth an appreciative smile and let Roman lead me into the house. It was absolutely gorgeous, modern yet classic. As we entered there were a few wolves present and they all looked at me curiously. We didn't even pause as Roman led me to an elevator in the foyer and pressed the button for the third floor. Just as the doors closed I spotted Seth and Dean making their way up the staircase. There was no way they would beat us. I felt a little anxious being in such a small space with my mate and when he pressed the stop button and the metal box ground to a halt that anxiety peaked. He rounded on me and pushed me against the wall, his body pressed against mine

"Just because my wolf claims you as his mate doesn't mean I do. My mate is dead, you're only here to keep him appeased. You're not her"

I felt my heart clench tighter in my chest with every word he spoke. My wolf was whining in my head and there it was again

You're not her

My vision was blurred as my eyes filled with tears and at that moment I wanted nothing more than to be at home with my family. He backed away and pressed the start button leaving me against the wall clutching my heart.

My wolf tried to assure me, taking a deep breath I quickly wiped my tears away and composed myself. I remembered what Caressa had said to me before I left. This wasn't going to be easy but I had to prove to him that I was worthy of being his mate, after all she had to be right the moon goddess put us together for a reason I guess I just had to figure out what that reason was.

When the doors opened he lead me out into another smaller foyer with a couple doors leading off, Seth and Dean were standing there waiting with my suitcases

"Put her in the guest bedroom"

My mate ordered the guys before stalking off through one of doors, I was confused and slightly embarrassed to be left standing there in front of two men that probably thought I was pathetic, I'm their alphas mate and he doesn't even want me. I kept my eyes glued to the ground until Seth finally spoke up

"Here this way, your rooms through here"

I followed him through a door on the left and almost stumbled when I caught sight of the room. It was huge and absolutely gorgeous, a king side bed sat against one wall and opposite that the entire wall was glass which looked as though they were huge doors. On the opposite side of the room were two more doors that I assumed were a bathroom and wardrobe

"It's beautiful"

I gasped in awe. Seth appeared beside me grinning.

"Yeah it is pretty awesome. Hey uh get settled and someone will be up soon to bring you dinner. Roman wants you to stay up here for now, this is all a little unexpected so the pack needs to be informed of the situation"

Of course, this would be a huge shock to the pack. They lose their Luna and suddenly I turn up as their alphas mate. Dean and Seth left the room closing the door behind them and I flopped down on the bed. This was going to be hard.
