Chapter 47: Questions.... and Answers

"After that I won't be sleeping tonight-UGH!!" Jon said. "at least it will be easier to talk to him without things flopping in the breeze. He added.

"You are the last one that should be talking about 'things flopping in the breeze Jonathan." "Just because Marlene saw it 24 years ago- doesn't mean she needs to see it now." a male voice said.

We heard Jordan snicker. Sharon reached over and picked up Jon's pajama pants but refused to pick up his briefs- she was acting like they had cooties or something-which only made Allison and I laugh harder I picked them up and tossed them and his pants into the hallway for him--a few seconds later I heard his footsteps as he picked them up.

Shortly after that he poked his head in the bedroom and said "when you three clowns are done laughing, there is a family meeting in the kitchen."

They got themselves under control and headed downstairs. I just sat on the bed and stared at the wall. It was at that point that I heard footsteps coming quickly down the hall and Jon came into the bedroom.

"Aren't you coming?" He asked as he stepped into the room "I'll stay up here with the kids, since im I'm not technically family " I said "not by blood anyway"

"Christina Renee Knight" "what on earth gave you that idea?" he said shocked. I shook my head as I quickly slipped into my sleep pants and matching cami and put my robe back on. "Just because you don't have Knight DNA in your blood, doesn't mean you aren't a part of our family." he said.

"You ARE a part of our family Christina- you are my wife, so, that makes you a part of the family."

"always and forever" he whispered as he kissed my forehead as we left the room.

As soon as everyone was settled in the kitchen-Marlene came in from the living room. I could sense that Jon and Jordan were still seething when the went into the living room with Chris and David to talk to the mystery man.

The three of us girls had a nice talk with Marlene- she said she had known this guy for many years and that it was only recently that a lot of old feelings she had for him came back. Before we could ask her who it was, I heard the light come on in the living room and Jordan saying, " Oh my god... Dad...? What are you still doing here?"

Sharon and I looked at Allison, then at Marlene we were as stunned as the guys were. From the sounds of things, Jordan did not handle it well and stormed upstairs- Chris and David weren't saying much, but, I could hear Jon saying, " I don't understand... I don't get it."

Allan said softly, " You know the feeling you get whenever you've been gone for a few days and haven't seen Christina?

"Yes" he replied " I miss her like crazy and can't wait to get home so I can hold her in my arms and tell her I love her."

"It took a long time for me to realize it, but after rekindling my friendship with her first- all the old feelings I had for her came back, and I realized that I still felt that same exact way about your mother." Allan said.

"You've got to be kidding me" Jon said. "you guys divorced when I was in my late teens."

"Son, I did a lot of soul searching while I was apart from your mother and I realized that despite everything that had happened, I still cared deeply for her and loved her very much."

I could hear Allan and Jon both yawning as they talked. "Why don't we all get some sleep, and we can have this talk in the morning.

"Sounds good to me." Jon said. "Oh please" Chris laughed "you just want to get back upstairs so you can screw Chrissy's brains out."

"CHRISTOPHER!" Allan scolded him. I felt myself blush horribly in the kitchen as us girls headed into the living room so we could go upstairs.

"What I do with my wife behind closed doors is none of your business." Jon said slipping his arms around me.

We all headed our separate ways and went to bed, as Jon and I crawled into bed he pulled me close and held me as we shared a sweet tender kiss and he whispered "Merry Christmas sweetheart-I love you"

"Merry Christmas" I whispered with a yawn, "I love you too.
