So far everything was going smoothly, my mom was abiding by the restraining order, and our wedding planning was in full swing.
Jon had finally settled on his Best man and groomsmen
Best Man: Jordan Knight
Groomsman: Donnie Wahlberg
Groomsman: Joe Mcintyre
Groomsman: Danny Wood
His brothers Chris and David are going to be ushers. As we were discussing things one night, I said, "I am still uncertain who I would like to walk me down the aisle.--since my mom is 1000% out of the question since she is a few fries short of a happy meal."
The next morning he went to rehearse with the guys as they were in the midst of their Magic Summer Tour. My gals and I went dress shopping--What a pain in the butt that turned out to be!!! The first Bridal shop we went to the staff was horribly rude and couldn't find me on the appointment list anywhere, so we ended up leaving.
The second store the staff was absolutely appalled that we had brought Emma with us as they had a strict No children under 9 policy! --needless to say they didn't get our business either.
"Who picked these places?" Sharon laughed as we piled into the car and headed to the 3rd one on our list. "so far, they SUCK!!"
We next went to David's Bridal and they were very helpful, My ladies will be wearing a beautiful raspberry satin strapless dress that looks good on all of them and Sharon had the idea to dye their shoes to match. Emma's dress is white and lacey with a raspberry sash at the waist-- it is so adorable.
It took us several more shopping trips for me to find my dress, but I ended up falling in love with one that was white, strapless and very princess-like, it has a full skirt that reminded me a lot of Cinderella's dress. The bodice is beautifully beaded and the beading is also on the back and on the train as well.
We all agreed that this was THE dress. Katie was looking at shoes and found a pair of clear peep toed pumps that went with it perfectly-- she told me "a princess needs her glass slippers."
The veil I picked had little crystals sprinkled in it and it fell to the middle of my back, and it could be detached from the tiara afterwards-- the tiara was full of the same crystals that were on my veil.
The next time us ladies got together we pored over bridal magazines and tried to find hairstyles we liked. When Jon came home a few days later we went ring shopping and picked out our wedding rings- mine matched my engagement ring and was set with small diamonds, his was just a simple gold band that had some diamond cutting in it to catch the light.
Because of the way the tour was he had to fly out the next morning to get to where their next appearances and show were.
Several days later I found a strange message on the phone when I got home. Before I listened to it, I called Jordan and asked him to do me a favor and have Mr. Scott call me, and told him not to tell Jon.
I listened to the message, and it was some chick thanking Jon for the wonderful weekend they had spent together and that he really knew how to please her and to call her the next time he was in town "you have my number" she said.
I called Katie and she wasn't home, so, I called Allison and by the time she picked up, I was in tears. "this has to be some sort of joke, my brother is so not like that at all!" she said "you know that as well as I do" she added. "ill be right over, sounds like you need to talk."
While I waited for her to come over, I talked to Mr. Scott and asked him if he would walk me down the aisle. --as soon as I explained why my mother couldn't, he said he would be honored to do it.
As I hung up the phone Allison showed up, she listened to the message several times and said, "that voice is familiar I can't place it though- but they sounded drunk." as we talked, Katie called and she too was in tears.
"I don't think I can be in your wedding anymore, she sobbed I lost my job late last week and I don't have the money."
I looked at the calendar and sighed, Katie, I really want you there-I'll call you back later, I have company."
"Ok" she said sadly "talk to you later"
I explained the situation to Allison and she said "talk to Jon I am sure he will have an idea."
"Talk to him?" I squawked "not after that message I found!"
Almost as if on cue the phone rang, and it was Jon-- we made small talk and then I went in the other room and asked him about the message,
"I think you know me well enough by now to know that I would never do that to you." he said softly. "YOU are the only woman I want to spend romantic weekends with, pleasing YOU and making YOU feel good." he added his voice still soft.
I know your past causes you to have doubts, but, know in your heart YOU are the only woman in my life, YOU are the woman that I love with all my heart, and YOU are the woman I want to be by my side forever as my wife.
I changed the subject and told him about Katie. "What if you pay for her dress and stuff and then she can pay you back when she is working again.
"not a bad Idea" I said "except that she is too proud to accept charity--I'll call her mom later and see if she has any suggestions."
"I'll call you tomorrow sweetheart." he said softly "I Love you"
"I love you too" I said
"Give Emma a hug and kiss for me and tell her I love her too." he added.
"I will" I told him.
Then we said our goodbyes and hung up. Allison stayed at the house that night and we had a great time playing cards and talking about wedding stuff.
Inside, part of me was still wondering if Jon was being truthful and worrying about what would happen to Emma and I if he wasn't being truthful,--I tossed and turned most of the night.
It took a LOT of work on my part but, with the girls help I was finally able to convince Katie to let me pay for her stuff for the wedding and then she could pay me back once she was working again.
Things were a little tense with Jon and I as a couple more messages were left at our house that were just like the other one.
Every night when I went to bed I just prayed that things would go back to normal, and that I would make the right decision.
In my heart I knew I loved Jon but I was terrified of getting my heart broken by him and afraid if we ended up splitting up, of what it would do to Emma.
