Aladdin was atop the crows nest, looking out at the open ocean with a spyglass he had borrowed from one of Sinbad's crew. As he peered, his face switched from determined intensity to one of joy and surprise "Land ho!"
Sinbad's ears perked up, so he turned from what he was doing to go lean on the ledge of the ship's bow to squint ahead "I see!"
Infront of them was but a tiny spec of an island that somone who— wasn't even paying attention— could have easily looked over.
The crew began packing up gear for exploration as they waited for the ship to sail closer to the land. As they did approach, what was on the island became more and more clear to everyone aboard.
"What the hell is that?" Sharrkan also stood, narrowing his gaze at the island.
What he saw, along with eventually everyone else on board, was a giant, blue figure.
"Is that a Djinn just walking around?" Drakon stroked his scaley chin, puzzled.
"It sure looks like it," Sinbad lifted his spyglass to get a closer look.
Upon his inspection he found that Djinn to be rather familiar, but he had to dig deep in his mind to figure out what from. It all finally clicked when he noticed the long, white braid draped over his shoulder.
"Oh my god," Sinbad felt his heart skip a beat "That's Harun".
"You know that Djinn, King Sinbad?" Aladdin made his way over to Sin's side.
"Yes," Sinbad could feel his heartbeat pound harder and harder "That's Y/N's Djinn".
"Y/N?" Aladdin asked quizzically.
"That name is familiar...," Morgiana mumbled to herself.
Eventually that boat got close to shore and was almost close enough to drop anchor to take the life boats out, but the ship suddenly halted with a jerk. The wooden boards of the ship creaked as everyone on deck stumbled forward, having to catch themselves from falling.
"What was that?" Hinahoho darted his head around, quizzically, hand firmly pressed on the main sail post.
No one aboard had an answer, but they all began to notice large, green vines coming up from the water and onto the boat. In no time the vines multiplied, nearly engulfing the entire deck of the ship. Panicked, everyone armed with a sharp blade began cutting the fast growing vines, but it was a lost cause, for it seemed that for every severed one two more would take its place.
Sinbad, owning his title as King, ordered with a booming voice "We need to ready the lifeboats. Now!"
Everyone scurried, piling in the six total lifeboats and difting away from their totalled ship.
"What now, King Sinbad?" Ja'far asked ernestly.
Sinbad gave an aggrivated sigh. Arms cross, glaring at the island they were persuing, he scrunched his nose in thought. He looked back at his ship as it was then being pulled down into the sea by tge aggressive vines, hearing each board snap inbetween it's tentrals as its gripped tightened around them.
"We have to keep moving to that island," Sinbad decided, a gravel tone in his voice as he slouched in his seat beside Aladdin.
"Sinbad, are you sure?" Ja'far couldn't help but question "It's no doubt that whatever is on that island can do that kind of destructive magic!" Ja'far gestured to the wreckage beside them "Sure we're strong, but who ever is over there has the high ground, and they already sent us the message that we are not welcome".
"I am sure, Ja'far," Sinbad snapped "If Harun is there, then Y/N must be there too. She could be in trouble!"
"She has Harun," Ja'far remained level headed "I'm sure she is safe".
"Y/N doesn't have powers anymore, so she wouldn't be able to bring Harun from his vessel," Sinbad explained, a serious tone in his voice "So there is something on that island that can do that, and could be using him against her!"
"Powers?" Aladdin blinked "Is Y/N your girlfriend- or, ex-girlfriend?"
"That name again...," Morgiana, who sat at the front of the small lifeboat Sinbad, Aladdin, Ja'far and Alibaba were on, stroked her chin.
Sinbad ignores everyone, shaking his head "We're here to fight a magical, plant monster, right Aladdin?"
"Yeah!" the boy cheered.
"Then we're not going to get scared away just yet," Sinbad smirked, glancing down at Aladdin "Aladdin, I have an important task for you".
