Chapter 7

There was tension in the air was thick.

'I hope Senku has a plan,' Miku thought. She keeps hugging Senku's arm while Senku just pats her head trying to calm the frightened girl.

'Kukuku, He's really dangerous. I'm surprised he's acting this way in front of Miku. A typical bad guy would have been 10 billion times better. But if we didn't revive Tsukasa we would have been killed by the lions. We didn't have a choice. He wants to save young people so he can't act crazy before getting the recipe of the revival potion. The recipe will be the trump card so we just need to keep the miracle water from the cave hidden at all cost,' Senku thought.

"Senku! Miku!" Taiju yelled, "The miracle water from the cave. We have enough now to save Yuzuriha!"

Senku just looks at his friend in shock.

The three went back to the camp. Miku put the clothes she made for Yuzuriha on her. 'I don't feel like it's a good idea to revive you Yuzuriha. However, Taiju is so excited to see you again.' Miku thought.

"Hey wait. The revival potion is just shy of the quantity needed for one person," Senku said.

Miku was confused for a moment before she knew what Senku was doing.

"Hahaha guess Taiju was a bit excited to revive her," Miku said.

"That's right I was too impatient. I'll go get some more right away," Taiju said.

"I will wait here with Miku and Tsukasa so hurry up big guy," Senku says.

Senku looks over at Tsukasa. Of course, Tsukasa takes the bait and says he'll get more miracle water. As soon as he leaves Senku gets to work and makes the revival potion for Yuzuriha. Taiju was confused about how Senku just said there wasn't enough miracle water. Senku tries to explain how there was enough in the jar and how he just wanted to get rid of Tsukasa. Even if that meant giving away the location of the miracle cave.

Miku grabs Taiju's shoulders and makes him look at her, "Taiju please just listen to Senku. Tsukasa is dangerous and Senku can't control him. Yes, Tsukasa is a good guy but he's also a murderer."

Taiju notices how Miku is trembling. He just nods and pats her head.

"I understand," Taiju says.

Taiju was gently trying to pour the revival potion on Yuzuriha while Miku watches. Senku yells at Taiju telling him they were in a hurry and dumps the potion on Yuzuriha. Taiju and Miku freak out about how Senku just splashed it on top of her.

The three wait for Yuzuriha to wake up. Taiju starts to freak out about how long it's taking.

"Taiju please be patient. She'll wake up soon," Miku says.

"Miku's right. This is a kind of cold sleep. It's sort of like a protective coat created from the trace metallic elements within the body. It keeps this petrified state by a mysterious shift in the element's phase. It's only a hypothesis from a whole year of experiments. Then, if we can break through this coat by seeping it with Nital it spreads throughout the entire body through a chain reaction," Senku says.

Soon after Yuzuriha breaks out of her stone state. Taiju recalls the time he was about to confess to the time he was petrified. How he never gave up on the love he had for Yuzuriha. Taiju catches Yuzuriha when she breaks out of the stone.

Out of joy from seeing one of her close friends Miku tears up and hugs Senku.

"Thank you Senku. You truly are an amazing guy," Miku says.

Senku just lets her hug him. He doesn't get many hugs to begin with so he doesn't know how to react to a girl hugging him. Senku just does the one this he knows how. He just pats Miku's head hoping she lets go.

"Thank you," Yuzuriha says.

Miku runs over to her friend and hugs her.

"Kukuku, I'm sorry to interrupt the reunion but we need to make a decision before Tsukasa returns. There are two options so choose one. Plan A, you three run away immediately and live somewhere far away from here. Plan B, we all fight to stop the murderer Tsukasa with all the powers of civilization," Senku says. "So will the three of you run or will everyone fight to put a stop to Tsukasa the murderer?"

"That's Obvious! We'll choose to fight together right?! Don't you think of us three so poorly Senku," Taiju yells out.

"I'm not speaking out of any special consideration. It's simply that running is the most logical option," Senku says.

"No no, not at all. I don't know what's going on but I'll do anything to help, "Yuzuriha says while Miku just nods her head.

"Alright, I see your enthusiasm so listen to the me for a second," Senku said before getting interrupted by Taiju.

"If Tsukasa is really breaking statues, if he's really killing people I'll definitely....," Taiju says but it cut off. Tsukasa emerges from the trees.

"You can call it killing if you want. It's simply a matter of perception/ I'm culling humanity for the sake of a new world."
