Chapter 15

Chrome turns to Ginrou and Kinrou and says, "Don't be frightened by these cheap parlor tricks, Kinrou!! Ginrou!! These things? Hah! You can make these all you want with charcoal lye!"

"I wasn't frightened. I was just confused by seeing something out of the range of my knowledge," Kinrou says.

"I was just straight up frightened," Ginrou says.

"What did you come here for? I don't plan to rely on the likes of you or your suspicious sorcery Chrome," says Kinrou.

"That's doesn't concern me. Do whatever you want. But this is one thing I won't back down from! I'll never lose when it comes to sorcery! Don't you dare interfere!!!" Chrome says.

'He can't be serious right. Senku is the smartest guy I know. What is this guy expecting an all-out fight,' Miku thought.

'A sorcery battle?! WooooAAAAHHH! I hope this doesn't end up wrecking the village or anything!! If so the Chief is serrriiiiiously gonna chew me out!!!' Ginrou thought.

"It'd be dangerous if we fought here. The other villagers might get caught up in our battle. Let's go somewhere else!" Chrome says while leading the group to a hut that was not far from the bridge.

Once they arrived Chrome told them to wait and ran into the hut.

'Is this why he brought us here? He needed supplies?' Miku thought.

Chrome comes back out and starts a fire.

"Feast your eyes!!! On my awesome sorcery!! RAINBOW BRIDGE!! I CAN CONTROL MY FLAMES FREELY AT WILL!!!" Chrome yells out.

Chrome throws in different powders turning the flames from yellow to blue-green to purple.

"This is incredible!!! So this..." Ginrou starts.

"Is sorcery!!!" Kohaku finishes.

Senku looks at Miku and she just shrugged her shoulders.

"Umm... those are just flame reactions. They're pretty but not really impressive," says Miku.

"You tossed in salt, copper, and sulfur in that order. As for copper you could have used copper sulfate or something? Not like you'd understand what that is. The blue crystals you probably swiped from some cave somewhere," Senku explains.

Chrome mentally breaks down thinking about who are these people especially Senku. 'How does he know about the blue crystals? Does he have some technique to read peoples' minds? I had no idea something like that even existed.'

Miku sees Senku picking at his ears and comments, "You better not make that a habit."

Before Senku could say something Chrome speaks up, "What's that?! You couldn't possibly think that cheap trick like this was all there was to my sorcery?!"

"We didn't say anything," says Kohaku.

"Wait right there! I'm really gonna blow your mind this time!! I'm gonna bring something reaaaaaal insane! Something you can even attack with! It's gonna seriously blow your frickin' minds!!" Yells out Chrome while running back into the hut.

Chrome comes back out with a ball that he starts rubbing with his arms. Chrome then goes over to Ginrou and touches his nose.

"AAAAHHHHH!!! THAT HURT! WHAT WAS THAT ATTACK?!" Ginrou yells out.

Senku takes the ball from Chrome. Miku complains saying, "Awe no fair Senku. I wanted the sulfur ball."

Senku tries to keep the sulfur ball away from Miku by holding her back with one hand and holding the sulfur ball with the other.

"This is the sulfur you threw into the fire earlier. You threw the sulfur bits into an earthenware pot and put it over a fire. Then after it cooled down and hardened, you broke just the clay pot surrounding it to create this. That's a great method! You're getting me excited after all Chrome!" Senku says.

"You could create a sulfur orb static electricity generator. It was originally invented in the 17th century," Miku says.

Senku nods and says, " Kukuku but you were rubbing it in your hands. If you used this flag you'd generate ten billion times more power. This is a flag of science."

With that Senku rubs the sulfur ball with the flag making his hair stick up and out more than usual. Senku tires to shock Miku but received a death glare from her and he decides to shock Chrome instead. Senku gives the sulfur ball to Kohaku and Ginrou.

"You guys having some children's science lab experiment now? We'll they're primitive after all," Senku says.

Miku pinches his arm and says, "Senku be nice," Miku then looks over at Chrome and asks, "Hey Chrome. Did you think up all of this yourself? Did you collect all these materials all on your own?"

Chrome looks at her and says, "That's right! And so what if I did? Give that back! As a kid, I was always collecting everything around me. And then taking the things I'd collect and smashing them together, mixing them up, burning them, but if any crazy stuff happened then that was sorcery. What else could it be?!"

'Kukuku Feast your eyes on this Tsukasa. You may try to kill me or anyone else in your efforts to reset science. But from we smooth shiny monkeys, another crazy idiot who wants to experiment with anything and everything will always rise again! Scientific civilization will always rise again!!' Senku thinks.
