Chapter 11

"If a weapon of science should enter the scene then I would cease to be at the pinnacle of the power as the strongest! From here all it looks like is you whining like a baby Tsukasa," Senku says.

"Hmm. It does not matter to me how you choose to perceive it. If you create science's weapons and the former era is revived, wars will once again begin over the vested interest of men. Just like that, we'll be thrown back into the corrupted, stained and sullied world. In order to keep that from happening I'll do whatever it takes and use force even if necessary," Tsukasa states.

Miku frowns and says, "So what? You're just going to kill Senku!! You know in America your idea would be capital punishment. However, there's no way I'll let you hurt Senku!"

"Then how about you tell me the recipe for the petrification revival formula?" Tsukasa asks Miku while holding the spear to Yuzuriha's neck.

"I can't," Miku says sadly.

"Sorry but I guess we're not as nice as you are. I'm the type that can only think about what's most logical and efficient. And besides, I haven't got even a millimeter of interest in the life of that one woman there. As you can clearly see with Miku here, there are plenty of females left to pick from ..." Before Senku could finish talking Tsukasa takes the spear and cuts off Yuzuriha's hair.

Senku and Miku could only watch in shock. 'Yuzuriha please hang in there.' Miku thought.

"It's useless trying to bargain like that Senku. After all, you didn't bury Yuzuriha. The very best, most efficient thing would have been to keep her petrified and bury her somewhere far off and away. That way she'd never be able to be used as a hostage against you. There's no way that your brains wouldn't be able to figure out something that I even could. But still, you didn't. Was it for Taiju? Or was it for Miku? Or was it for Yuzuriha? You may say you act out of what's most efficient and logical for you but you have a precious best friend here. I have an endless amount of followers and fans but not one human that is important to me. That is why Senku and Miku, this is my victory," Tsukasa states.

'Damn it. We can't do anything in this position. Tsukasa is super fast and can catch an arrow. It would be easy for him to kill Yuzuriha. However, Senku has Taiju as well that Tsukasa could use as a hostage. He could just torture Senku until he gets what he wants.' Miku thinks.

"Hahaha, that's actually a huge relief. Washing your hair in this world is such a hassle. Cutting it short's the way to go!" Yuzuriha pulls the spear towards her neck and continues, "You can't tell him Senku! As long as you haven't told him the recipe for the revival formula he won't be able to kill you! Don't worry Miku it's ok if I go. Senku you can't, for the sake of everyone's future. You absolutely can't die!"

Miku starts tearing up and looks at Senku. Senku looks at her and for some reason, he doesn't want to see Miku cry. Senku sighs and explains to Tsukasa the revival formula and how to make it.

"Thank you Senku," Tsukasa says while releasing Yuzuriha. Miku runs over past Tsukasa and hugs Yuzuriha. The two girls hold onto each other.

Tsukasa walks over to Senku saying, "And now I've no need to keep you alive any longer. If I were to allow you to live, without a doubt you would eventually end up developing civilization. I don't suppose you could promise me that you won't? If you do that I won't have to kill you."

While Tsukasa and Senku have a small chat Miku whispers to Yuzuriha.

"Are you ok?" Miku asks.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Miku what are we going to do."

Miku tries to think of a way out. "Well, there's not much we can do. I don't have any strong weapons. In terms of strength, he wins. All we can do now is call out to Taiju and try to run away."

Yuzuriha nods and calls out to Taiju.

"Won't you swear to me here and now that you will abandon science," Tsukasa says.

"That's the one and only thing I could never do," Senku replies.

"Yes. Somehow I just knew that's what you would say," Tsukasa says.

"Kukuku what kinda nonsense are you spouting off about? Regardless of what I answered you'd have killed me eventually someday just in case," Senku said.

"Probably," Tsukasa responses.

Senku looks over at Miku and nods her way. Miku looked at Senku confused as to what he was trying to communicate to her. Senku turns his attention to Tsukasa and says, "Get it over with in one blow. Getting everything messy splashing blood all over the place wouldn't be very efficient or logical for either of us."

"Don't worry. I'll break your cervical plexus in one strike. You'll be rendered instantly unconscious and then you will die. You won't feel any suffering or pain. I will not miss," Tsukasa responses.

Miku turns to Yuzuriha and says, "Listen to me Yuzuriha. We can't take Tsukasa head-on. We grab Senku and run."

Yuzuriha just looks at Miku as if she's gone insane. 'Miku usually will fight to the end. I guess this is a losing battle for her.' Yuzuriha thought.

The two girls look back and see Tsukasa delivering a blow to Senku's neck. The two girls run over and they see Taiju also run over and catch Senku before he hits the ground. All three friends start crying over the loss of one of their friends.
