Miku and Senku Christmas and New Years

***Hello Everyone!! Sorry I'm late but I had to work for 6 days straight and I had no motivation to write. However, I'm back so looking forward to more chapter updates. I hope you enjoy this chapter. This year was very special. This year happened to be the year that Miku would stay in Japan for the winter holidays. Miku begged her mom to let her stay and after hours on the phone, 17 hours, 19 minutes, and 23 seconds to be exact, Miku was finally able to convince her mom. A week before Christmas Miku told her two best friends Yuzuriha and Nana that she was staying.

Yuzuriha after school ran over to the science classroom and slammed the door open.

"SENKU!!"

Senku almost dropped the vile he was holding. He looked over at the girl who yelled out his name.

"Oh Yuzuriha it's you," Senku says while continuing with what he was doing.

Yuzuriha went over and said, "Senku this is about Miku."

Senku looked up a bit curious about his assistant.

"So you know how Miku leaves for America during the holidays right?" Yuzuriha asked.

Senku's eyes went wide, "She's not leaving today is she?!"

When Miku's parents got divorced Senku made a promise to be there when she needed him. So everytime she went to America Senku would give her some rocket plans for her to review and test while she was there. When she returned they would reunite and discuss new ideas and improvements that needed to be made. However, this year Senku was caught up in his current project and Miku never told him when she was leaving he forgot to make rocket plans.

Yuzuriha shook her head, "No silly she's..."

Before she could finish Taiju burst through the door and yelled, "Senku guess what Nana just told me!!"

Senku and Yuzuriha both looked over at him while he continued to talk.

"Miku is staying in Japan this year. Isn't that great!!"

Senku smiled and sighed in relief. 'This means I don't have to worry about giving her rockets plans.'

Time skip to Christmas Eve

It was Nana's idea for all five friends to get together for a small party. Which meant everyone had to bring a gift. Now Senku was not one to get nervous but oh boy. Everyone was passing out there gifts to one another and Miku was nowhere to be found. Senku walked around Miku's house which is where the party was being held.

He found her on her balcony. He knocked and she turned around, "Oh hey Senku."

Miku turned around to look at the night sky. Senku walked over and stood next to her.

"Miku are you ok?"

Miku shook her head and a tear fell down.

Senku reached over and wiped away the teardrop with his thumb. He then pats Miku's head in comfort. Miku laughed and wiped away the rest of her tears. Senku pulled out a box and handed it over to Miku. She took it and opened it up. Inside was a gold rocket necklace with a star on it as well.

Miku turned red, "Senku this is beautiful."

Senku just shrugged it off, "I know a simple thank you wouldn't suffice for everything you've done over the years of our friendship. So I got you something special."

Senku helped Miku put it on.

"Hold on, I have to get your present," Miku says while rushing to her closet.

She came back moments later with a big box. Senku rose an eyebrow at it and took it from her. He opened it only to look up in amazement. Inside was an antique telescope.

"How did you get this?"

Miku smiled, "I had my grandfather ship it over."

Senku smiled. It wasn't his usual side smile it was a full on smile. Miku looked up at the star while Senku looked at her.

'She's so beautiful. I'm so lucky to have her. I hope she can stay by my side forever.'

Time skip to New Years eve

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

The five friends were at Miku's house celebrating another holiday together. They counted down to the new year. Everyone gave each other hugs and one by one started to go home.Well, Yuzuriha and Taiju went home. Nana stayed over and so did Senku surprisingly. Miku was picking up some garbage when Senku walked in and started to help her.

"So Senku do you have a New Year's resolution?" Miku asked.

'Yes. It's to ask you to go to Paris with me,' Senku thought. However for some reason he was nervous to say anything to her.

"SENKU!!" Miku yelled.

Senku looked up and realized she was waiting for an answer.

"Sorry I was lost in thought."

Miku tilted her head. It wasn't like Senku to get lost in thought like he just was. He had a look on his face like he wanted to tell her something. Miku didn't want to push it and let it go.

"Well, mine is to go to Paris."

Senku just stood there shocked.

"Why?" He asked.

Miku giggled, "Because silly it's the most romantic place ever."

Senku just stood there and nodded. He didn't know what to think. Actually he did. 'I have to push these feelings aside and focus on the goals ahead.' Senku thought emotions would just get in the way of his future. Senku felt something on his cheek and realized a moment later that Miku kissed him.

She smiled at him and said in a low voice, "Happy New Year Senku. Let's make some more memories together."

Senku for the first time in his life actually blushed. Since when did he start having feelings for her. She's just a friend. Feelings were troublesome. However, after spending Christmas with her and spending time with her now, he thought, 'I guess it wouldn't be bad to have a connection with her.' So from then on Senku promised to himself to not let her go. She was his treasure and his assistant. He would keep her in his life forever.
