Jake
The summer sun was shining down on us under the big old oak tree where we were playing a childish game of truth or dare. It's not a game that we normally play in a public park but Frankie decided we could play outdoors as long as we kept the dares to silly things that wouldn't draw attention. None of us had had the guts to pick a dare yet.
"Wesley, truth or dare?" Frankie asked while trying to hide a grin.
"Truth." Wesley was bouncing on his knees while he waited for Frankie to think up a question. He’s as cute as a puppy, and just as playful.
"Are you exchanging sexual favors with Professor Miller for good grades?" The whole group of us burst into laughter as Wesley's face turned a frightening tomato red.
"Is that what you guys think? Oh. My. God." Wesley hid his face in his hands and groaned.
“That’s not a no.” Tonya giggled at the murderous look Wesley shot at her from between his fingers.
We all know that Wesley has a big crush on his Professor but Miller is as straight as they come. I think. He looks straight. I think. He oozes masculinity and has a large intimidating body that you can just tell must be really ripped underneath those layers of stuffy old man clothes. He doesn’t look to be any older than his late thirties, but the man dresses like an eighty-year-old.
“That’s a hell no.” Wesley whines. “I’m not playing with you guys anymore.” Wesley unfolded himself from his seat on the grass and slowly started walking back in the direction of the dorms.
“Hey, wait up I’ll walk back with you.” I shouted after his retreating back. The others started booing us for leaving the game before it was finished but I didn’t care. It was almost five o’ clock and my favourite radio show was about to start.
When I first started college here I was bored alone in my room. I had no television and started channel surfing the local radio stations. I came across a local station that was aimed at the LGBT community. I’d never even known we had that station, but it became my lifeline until I made friends with Wesley and the others.
Two months ago they got a new broadcaster on Freewave Radio. Gabe Somersby, I’ve never missed one of his shows. His voice is like melted, rich, dark chocolate it’s deep and has a rough rasp to it that makes me want to roll around naked in it and have him lick me clean. Sigh.
I’ve spent a lot of time wondering what he must look like, I’ve even been looking at the stations website but his picture still hasn’t been posted yet.
“You don’t have to come back with me, you know. I don’t need a babysitter.” Wesley’s bottom lip pushed out in a pout and he crossed his arms over his chest as he continued walking.
“I’m not babysitting. The pay is for shit.” I laughed and threw my arm over his shoulders. We crossed the campus to our building and I held the door open for him to go through first. “To be totally honest you gave me the excuse I needed to get away. The Afternoon Madness show is about to start.
