After the words, which were received with disbelief by the lemur, Judy grabbed him tightly and threw him to the ground, putting one of the suspect's arms behind his back.
"Stay still, Vince..." The bunny said, with absolute seriousness, changing her happy and polite tone from before. "I already saw your intentions clearly, I won't let you hurt her."
The lemur was still trying to fight, he stopped for a moment and had another plan, but he gave a nervous smile. "I have one arm immobilized but... I have the other free." In a quick movement, without giving Judy time to stop him, he took out the blowgun and shot where Fru Fru was, hitting.
To Vince's surprise, the figure fell like a house of cards: Collapsing downwards, something unusual. That left him perplexed. "What the..."
"So you thought you had it under control." Fru Fru's high-pitched voice was heard, the lemur looked around until a bear lowered his paw, once Judy immobilized the aggressor, and showed the shrew. "But we knew your movements and we had planned it."
Vince put his face on the ground in shame. "Damn it... I haven't done what I had to do... I just wanted to survive..."
Judy felt a little bad, after all, she noticed that his voice was somewhat broken. What he had done could be unforgivable in the world of the mafia, and she knew what could await him, but even so the bunny felt anguish.
"Don't come off with that now, you tried to kill me!" Fru Fru wasn't going to give in after such an attack. "My dad won't like what you did."
The lemur began to tremble. "Please, I don't want to end up frozen!" Panic took hold of him. "I-I didn't w-want to kill you, m-miss... What I s-shot was a s-sedative dart... Give me time to explain, please."
Fru Fru's face was impassive, with a frown and arms crossed, but Judy's was far from having that feeling. After so much time analyzing criminals, she knows how to read true intentions, and it seemed that she understood that Vince was just a stray.
"Give him a chance..." Judy said, addressing her friend. "I think he has the right to explain himself."
The shrew's expression softened and she sighed. "But Judy, he tried to kill me, if we let him free... he could do it again."
"Now... I can't go back to who hired me..." Vince started to say. "My mission was to kill you or at least not let them see you again... I just wanted to kidnap you, I wouldn't be capable of killing like that... and even less someone with a family..."
Judy turned to Fru Fru again. "I think he has enough information... Besides, you asked us for help, we have to question him at the ZPD." Now she thought of something else. "I propose the following: Whatever we discover, we'll let you know. What happens from now on is according to the law, but he could go to jail for a while." The lemur began to tremble again, Judy noticed it and calmed him down. "Relax, I know what happens in these cases, we'll negotiate..." She turned to her friend again. "Well?"
Fru Fru sighed, she still wasn't sure. "I don't know, Judy, he tried to kill me, my dad won't be happy... and I even less so." She looked at Vince with disdain.
"I think we can talk about it..." A new voice came forward, his hoarse voice recognizable, it was none other than Mr. Big, being led by his trusted bear, Koslov. "I also want to have access to the information."
Judy nodded. "I'd never leave you in the dark, you can count on me to reveal what he says... partially." At the last word, the boss raised an eyebrow. "You must understand that I cannot reveal everything he says, there will be matters that must remain in the ZPD." Even so, she was quick to answer. "But I intend to report on who hired him and other matters that I can reveal."
