"Life is easier when you're united with your loved ones."

Liz has noticed the students looking at her weirdly this morning but she chose to ignore it. As she looks straight at her way and no one else, she is surprised when Scott pulls her over into one an empty room. "Scott, what's going on?", she immediately asks not understanding why he pulls her away without even greeting her and why he's doing this at school, "You could have at least said hello. We're at school."
"That's the least thing I care about right now", Scott replies upset, "Do you really not trust me at all?" "What do you mean? What's going on now?", she asks. "Don't act like you don't know. Everyone's seen it. I'd be here for you, you know. This could have been my problem as well and I wouldn't let you go through it alone. Plus, I deserve honesty." "Excuse me?", Liz says raising her voice to make it sound like a question, "As much as I know, this is still a secret so nobody's seen anything."
"Els, don't fool me, okay? Everyone's seen you with the test. Everyone got the message. But I thought you would tell me before anyone else. If you thought you are pregnant, you could have talked to me. I would have been there and-" "Wait, pregnant? You think I'm-", Liz exclaims but stops now understanding what's going on. Chelsea, the test, Riley. It all makes sense. "That's not my test."
"How can that not be your test when you had it in your hand? Please, just be honest with me. At least now." "I am, Scott. It's the truth", she states honestly, "One of the girls asked me to buy one because she can't be seen with it. I wanted to help her." "So you're not pregnant and it's not your test?", Scott reassures himself. "Exactly", Liz nods and then chuckles thinking about his reaction, "But thanks for caring. Your worries are appreciated."
"Hey, you've got no idea how that felt like, okay? I was nervous", Scott argues but laughs eventually. "No, seriously. Thanks, Scott. It's good to know that I wouldn't have been left alone", Liz smiles at him. She just realizes how respectful he reacted towards the picture of her with the test and is glad about him.
"Sure", Scott replies, "This doesn't change anything between us, right? And you're calling me Scott now? What happened to Reed?" "Of course not", Liz laughs lightly, "If anything, it would have made it better between us, Scotty." Liz smiles at him and kisses his cheek not worrying about if people could see them as they're in an empty room. Scott looks at her confused as she's leaving him standing there like that.
"I'm going to be the godfather, right?", Monty asks her as soon as she approaches her friends. "Please just tell me that you're going to name him Justin", Justin adds. "Come on, spit it out", Liz sighs looking at Bryce. But the joke that she's waiting for, isn't spoken. "Why would you buy a test for someone?", he asks instead. Scott couldn't have told him. She just saw him. How do they know it's not her test?
"You're our best friend, you know. You would have told us if you worried about it", Bryce explains his thoughts. "I just don't understand why Riley would do this to you. Who even asked you for the test?", Sheri wonders. "Okay, wow, you guys are damn good", Liz admits, "It doesn't matter who it was as long as you guys know that it's not my test." "You'd definitely not be dumb enough to throw it away in the school's trash", Monty nods.
"I would have liked to see a mini version of you or Scotty." "Sh, Justin! We're in school. And who even says that it would be him? Others are cute, too." "Finally, you're here", Jeff suddenly appears next to the others, "I've got no idea who the boy is and as much as I would like to know it, I won't ask right now. I just want you to know that no matter what happens, I'm here for you. We're going through this together."
Everyone stares at Jeff for a moment. Liz remembers their fight and she's even more thankful that after everything's that she's said, he's still here. "The wasn't mine, J. I bought for one of the girls to cover up", she smiles at him warmly, "But thanks for caring. It is appreciated." "So you're not pregnant? You're sure?" "Definitely, sure, J", Liz chuckles remembering their last conversation, "Are you talking to me again?"
"Yeah, I mean I would have anyways but I needed to talk you quicker not knowing what's going on", Jeff admits and looks between all the others, "Did you guys know it's not hers?" "I mean, it was pretty obvious", Justin chuckles knowing that the baseball player would feel embarrassed now. "So obvious?" "She wouldn't be so reckless leaving a test in the school's trash, Jeff", Bryce laughs trying to make it more interesting now, "Plus, who the hell would she fuck with?"
"I don't know, you tell me?", Jeff says looking at his ex-girlfriend taking the conversation way too serious for what he knows about her. "I'm not fucking anyone", she laughs pretending to not care, "By the way, it wouldn't be your business anyways. No offense." "No, you're right. But still.. good to know. I'm looking out for you, you know", Jeff nods feeling awkward having to discuss this in front of everyone, "Can we like talk somewhere else?" "Sure", Liz nods and turns to Bryce before she leaves, "You'll wait for me at your car?" "Of course."
"Your words really hurt me", Jeff's admit when they sit outside on a bench, "But I know you didn't mean it like that." "I didn't. I would never intentionally hurt you, J. I've overreacted and it wasn't fair of me to say those words to you", Liz immediately apologizes and Jeff pulls her into a hug. "I know, Els, I know. It just hurt me because you know that that's my weak point. But I was also not fair to you. Mentioning your parents.."
"No, you were right about it", Liz says shaking her head, "You only said things that are true. I'm not even upset." "No, Els, it wasn't right, definitely not. I've got no idea what you've been through and what you still feel. You trusted me with your feelings and I should have respected your feelings by not judging you for it." "It's fine, J. Still friends?" "Of course, E", Jeff smiles relieved. So now that everything's been talked about, it'll be fine, right?
