"Let's play hide and seek but let's not get caught."

The next morning, the pair is laying next to each other in Scott's bed. To be exact, Scott has his arm around the girl's upper body and her head has rested on his chest during the night. When the sunlight hits her face, Liz wakes up. She slowly opens her eyes smiling as she notices that today offers nice weather. Just when she notices an arm around her, she looks to her side and realizes that she stayed at Scott and remembers what has happened during the night. Shit, she mutters instinctively.

"Put your arm away!", the girl immediately snaps at the boy as she tries to raise her upper body but is hindered by Scott's grip around her, "Reed!" The boy wakes up hearing her voice and remembers last night with a smile on his lips. He rubs his eyes with his right arm wondering why she suddenly snaps at him. "Are you okay?", he asks her confused and slowly takes his arm away. "Am I okay? Okay?", she hisses, "No, I am not okay, Reed!"

Still annoyed by him and herself, she quickly stands up and takes each piece of clothes that she can find. "Why are you upset? It was good, wasn't it?", Scott asks her confused. "Good?", Liz laughs frustrated, "This was anything but good. Do you remember who we are? I'm Jeff's ex-girlfriend and you're his best friend. This should have never happened!" "That's what you're worrying about", Scott realizes not understanding why she worries about it in that exact way.

"Yes, Reed, that's what I'm worried about", she rolls her eyes as she puts on her clothes without hesitation. The only problem is that she can only wear that dress which makes her even more nervous. What if the neighbors would see her? What if people could see what happened? "I need a basic shirt and a pair of joggers", she tells Scott not being bothered with being polite. "Alright", the boy nods his voice already sounding defending and stands up to give her a fresh plain white shirt and a pair of joggers. Luckily, he's not as tall as Monty so the clothes fit a lot better.

"Thanks", she mutters taking the clothes and changing into it as quickly as possible, "I'll leave through the window." "Why are you so worried about it?", Scott finally asks. "Do I have to repeat myself? You are Jeff's best fr-", she raises her voice but is interrupted by Scott. "I got it, okay? You're worried. But who do you think I am? Jeff's not getting the information from me. I'm not going to risk a friendship or the way we talk, especially not with the team being involved then."

"You won't tell him?", Liz repeats his words surprised. "Of course, I won't. Did you really believe that I would do it?" "I mean.. don't you boys brag with your fling like all the time?" "I don't", he answers her question honestly, "Some do, but I don't talk about what happens between a girl and I. It's about trust. And on top of that, I wouldn't talk about you and I to our friends." "Okay, then uhm.. thanks I guess", Liz nods scratching her neck as she becomes more nervous when he talks like that. He's gentle and kind and.. she liked last night. It was good.. too good.

"Can we-", she begins but stops herself as she hears the bell ringing, "Who is that?" „I don't know. Jeff told me he would stop by", Scott chukles as he watches the girl tensing up when the person rings for a second time, "I'll go downstairs and you stay here, alright?" "But don't come up here!" "No, of course I come here and show my best friend that his ex-girlfriend slept in my bed last night", Scott replies sarcastically and smiles as he notices a smile on the girls' lip. "Okay, go, but be quick. I need to get home and change and give Monty his car back." "Alright, ma'am."

Of course, Liz wouldn't just sit on his bed waiting for him to come back but rather listen to what they would talk. Luckily for her, the walls are pretty thin and the house isn't too big so she can hear what Scott is saying downstairs. "Sorry, Jeff, I got lost in time", Scott apologizes through the door before opening it but is surprised to see someone else standing in front of him afterwards, "Monty, what's up?"
