"Get done what needs to be done."

Liz sighs remembering the last party, especially what happened before they wanted to leave. Scott wanted to tell her something. He never mentioned it anymore. "What did you want to tell me before Jeff was talking to me?", she asks the boy focusing on the streets as they drive back to her place. "I forgot about it. Wasn't important", he lies and surprises himself that he's able to lie although he's completely drunk.

"Because you're drunk right now or because you simply forgot about it?", she asks skeptically knowing that Scott usually remembers every detail. "I'm not drunk, okay?", he snaps at her not wanting to talk about that evening. Liz rolls her eyes realizing that he's never raised his voice before so she decides to stay quiet and take care of him until he can go home in the morning. "Els? Ellie?", Scott pouts trying to make her look at him but she's focusing on the streets.

"Can you carry me to your room?", Scott asks her sweetly as soon as they arrive at her place. "Do I look like I could carry you?", she chuckles giving him a skeptical look, "Who even said you would sleep in my room? Will's not here, you can sleep on the couch." "You know how to break a guy's heart, right", Scott mumbles making Liz enjoy the show now. He's actually pretty cute, she thinks to herself watching him entering the house with sloping shoulders.

"No need to be huffy, pretty boy", she chuckles and just realizes what she said when it's already said. She hasn't called him pretty boy since the last party. Scott's head turns around giving her a confused but warm look as he lays down on the couch. "Can you come here? I want a hug." Liz just smiles appreciating that he's so honest around her. "Come on, let's go upstairs", she tells him instead.

"I'm not going to make you say that twice", Scott quickly replies and stands up to follow her to her room. As if they've never stopped hanging out, he takes off his shirt and trousers and sneaks under her blanket. She remembers the last time when they did that and how she felt which made her even more nervous so decides to get in bed with his shirt still on.

"You could put it off, you know", Scott mumbles against her forehead laying his arm around her automatically. "I'm not in the mood to whatever you're thinking about, okay? If that's what you came here for, Monty can come and pick you up", she snaps at him not knowing how to deal with the situation. Liz is aware of the fact that it's not Scott's fault that she's feeling the way she is and she shouldn't have snapped at him, but he's making her nervous and she's trying to push him away.

"I'm not here to have sex with you, you know? I just wanted to spend time with you. After all, I thought there was something between us", Scott snaps back at her for the first time. He usually controls his emotions in the best way possible but seeing her tonight, especially in the dress that she wore that night when they first had somewhat equal to a date, killed him emotionally. He got drunk intentionally. He didn't want to feel the pain of not being able to love her anymore. But having her around so coldly broke his heart. Did she not like him back?

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have snapped at you", she regrets honestly, "I'm confused, okay? This party just fucked me up and you being drunk didn't help." "There was no other way for me to go through this party. I couldn't stop thinking about last time", Scott opens up softly and Liz finally lets him lay his arms around her. "But you went to other parties in the meantime", she wonders resting her head on his chest.

"It's been the first party that you went to since the last one. I couldn't deal with seeing you when we're so far away from each other." "Scotty.. I'm sorry." "Don't be. It's not your fault. It's no one's fault", he whispers against her hairs trying to make himself believe that it'll be alright again. "I've missed this." "Me too, Els. Can you do me a favor?" "Of course."

"Go to the dance with me. I wouldn't want to go with anyone else." "Scotty-" "Please, think about it first. As friends", he adds so she rather agrees. "As friends?", she reassures herself lifting her head to look at him. She slowly nods imagining Scott standing in front of her with a suit on. Their faces are only inches away from each other. Both of them feel the exact same sparkles once more as they did before until they overcome the distance and crash their lips on each other's.

"Good morning." Liz hears Scott's raspy voice whispering in her ear when she wakes up. What should she do? What if she accept the fact that they've kissed again? Would the do it more often? What about Jeff? The morning after the party, she overthinks. So instead of talking to him about how they should move on, she decides for the both of them that the kiss was a mistake.

"It's almost lunch time. You should go home. Your mom's probably wondering where you are", she says getting out of her bed and opening the window. "Don't I get a good morning kiss or hug or anything?", Scott chuckles not understanding what she is doing. "No. Come on, get ready. I'll drive you home. You can get changed and we go to see Jeff like we planned." She's being serious right now, he tells himself, how can she pretend that nothing has happened?

"Sure, I shouldn't have stayed here anyways", Scott shrugs offended by the way she's acting towards him now, "I can visit him myself." "You could, but he would become suspicious if we suddenly come alone. Let's just get this done." "Yeah, get it done", Scott repeats her words rolling his eyes about the way she's talking now. Get it done, he thinks annoyed, if this is only some type of burden to her.
