It was Friday morning and I was out In LA for the lip sync battle zendaya and I were doing tomorrow night. I wanted to surprise Y/N today because she didn't know I was coming out today instead of Saturday.
I pulled up to her house seeing her car in the drive way then I got out going to ring her doorbell. She soon came to the door sniffling "you alright?" I asked as she nodded "yeah I just have a cold" she said wrapped in her blanket. I hugged her body then kissed her head.
"I'm sorry darling you need anything?" I asked her as she shook her head then faintly smiled "no I'm good tom" she said then sneezed. "Go lay down I'm going to get you some stuff and come back to make you some tea and soup" I said helping her upstairs to her room.
She got in her bed as I tucked her in and turned the tv on for her putting the remote by her. "No tom you don't have too I'm fine" she said trying to sit up but I could tell she was sick she just wasn't herself.
"Y/N I know how you are just let me look after you" I said as she laid her head back on the pillow and nodded before I kissed her head. I went to a nearby store with a hoodie on and a pair of shades.
I started getting cough drops, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, Nauzene tablets just in case she got Nauseous, Orange juice, honey and tea.
I also bought her some roses then I started calling her she answered on the third ring. "You need anything while I'm still at the store?" I asked "can you get me some pads too" she asked as I went to the section and automatically got confused.
"Babe on the scale of 1 to 10 how bad do you need the pads because I have no idea what I'm looking for" I stated looking at the wall full of different sizes and colors as she giggled some then sneezed "I'll get it don't worry about it thank you baby" she thanked. "Alright I'm checking out now" I said as I heard her sneeze again.
"Alright I'll see you when you get back" she said as we said our goodbyes. I checked out and drove back to her place bringing everything in. I washed my hands and started making her some tea with some honey.
Once the tea was finished I went upstairs giving it to her as she sat up slowly putting her back against her headboard. "Thank you baby" she thanked with a smile as I smiled. "No problem I also got some cough drops, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, Nauzene I said pulling it out the bag and placing it on her nightstand as she giggled.
"You also have roses downstairs in the kitchen" I said as she smiled "thank you Tom but I'm not dying I just have a cold" she stated as I smiled sitting at the foot of her bed "I just need you to get better" I said making her smile.
"Thank you but you don't need to stay I don't need you getting sick either" she said "darling my immune system is great" I said sitting next to her on the bed as she placed her tea on the night stand and she laid her head on my legs.
"I don't even know how I even got sick my immune system is usually good" Y/N said as I looked down at her as she was watching tv. "Have you been stressing that's the easiest way to get sick" I brought up. "Well I got into with my father and I've been upset that's the only thing I could think of" she said as I rubbed her arm.
"Why are you arguing with your dad?" I asked as she shook her head. "He was being disrespectful and we're not talking and I'm not talking to mother because she allowed the whole conversation to go down" she explained.
"Alright relax" I said as she looked up at me then smiled looking back at the tv. "Did you eat?" I asked rubbing her side as she shook her head. "You need to eat some breakfast or at least some fruit or something" I said as she giggled "it's just a cold relax" she said "you're warm" I said as she sneezed then sat up getting some Kleenex. "Where's your thermometer?" I asked.
"Nothing is wrong" she said with a faint smile "have you felt yourself? You're burning up" I stated as she pointed to the bathroom. I went through the medicine cabinet and found the thermometer turning it on sticking it under her tongue as she playfully rolled her eyes.
"I don't care" I said looking at the thermometer. "You already at 100 where's the Tylenol at?" I asked as she pointed towards the bathroom. I went to the cabinet getting her the correct the dosage. I walked back into the room as her thermometer started beeping. I read 101.8.
"Alright if it doesn't go down I'm going to take you to the hospital" I stated as she looked at me "Tom it's just a cold and this is going to be everywhere if I get checked into a hospital, we're really going to get caught" she explained.
"Y/N I don't care your health is more important than us trying to "hide" our relationship" I said "I just don't want to piss nobody off" she said holding her forehead some. "Y/N your health is more important than people feelings" I stated as she laid back on her pillows "get some rest, if you need anything I'm right here" I said sitting on the other side of the bed as she nodded placing the blanket more over her body.
Once she fell asleep I called zendaya "Hey" she stated "Hey how long does it take for Tylenol to kill a fever?" I asked "like an hour why?" She asked "Y/N has a cold and she's burning up" I said looking over at Y/N to make sure she was still breathing.
"What was her temperature?" Zendaya asked "101.8" I stated "alright take her to the hospital if it gets above 102, and if she's going to the hospital let me know so I can meet you two up there" she informed "okay I'll let you know" I said as we said our byes then hung up.
I looked over at Y/N seeing her in a fetal position shivering as I rubbed her arms softly. About around 3 o clock she finally started waking up some. I felt her head as she was still hot. "Let me take your temperature love" I said as she nodded I grabbed the thermometer placing it under her tongue as she laid there with her eyes closed.
The thermometer started going off as I looked at it reading "104.9" I cleaned off the thermometer "baby girl I'm going to have to take you to the hospital" I said as she groaned "Tom I'm fine" she said sitting up some "you have a high fever it's almost 105 you need to go" I said getting her a pair of Ugg's out her closet and her coat.
I grabbed my keys and hers to lock the front door then I unlocked my car helping her into the passengers seat. I got on the drivers side calling zendaya "Hey is she okay?" She asked "no her fever was 104.9 I'm taking her to the hospital" I said looking over at Y/N occasionally as she went back to sleep still shivering some.
We pulled up to the emergency room and got out. I grabbed Y/N's hand as she stopped walking placing her hand on her head. "What's wrong?" I asked as she shook her head "Nothing I'm fine don't worry about it" she said as we walked up to the desk and I was letting the nurses know her information and why she was here today.
Then all of a sudden Y/N's hand got looser and she fell into me as I held her they brought a stretcher and admitted her into a hospital room.
