a/n: I am so upset that there was no video today...

More Lynn x Chris x Breddy snippets. Not entirely too happy with the chapter but sure yolo. They live in Sydney in this story bc Sydney is so much cooler than Brissy anyway.

He didn't realise that they specifically asked for Mr. Yang until he stood in front of a very unhelpful secretary.

"Mr. Yang is not in Sydney at the moment", he repeated patiently, not seeing what the problem was.

"But you're not a legal guardian."

"Yes, but there is currently no legal guardian in the city."

The secretary looked at him pointedly and didn't grace him with an answer.

"Look", he sighed, "you have to work with me here. Lynns father is not in town. How can I take her home?"

"With a legal guardian or direct relative."

"That is not available."

"That is not my problem."

"I've raised her for the last ten years!"

Her dead look was pure competition to Bretts.

"That's not in her file."

"Can I at least see her?", he questioned, "Is she alright? What has she done?"

It was still early in the day so it was more than just a surprised when Lynns school called, asking for her to get picked up immediately.

"You are not a guardian, so I cannot give you information about that."

All he could do was gape at her. Christopher started to tuck at his trousers, getting bored standing next to him. He picked the now four year old toddler up in his arm.

"What do you want me to do?", he asked the secretary, getting incredibly irritated at the situation. She looked at him as if he was stupid.

"Get a guardian."

He had to bite back a remark and just turned around. Again, he tried to call Brett but the other must not have his phone with him. Walking out of the school building, he started to feel a bit desperate, a sleepy Chris resting his head against his shoulder. He put Chris back into the backseat of the car and leaned his head against the open car door, looking down at the child, trying to figure out how to deal with the situation.

This has never happened before.

Eddy always had a permission slip signed by Brett to pick Lynn up during primary and middle school but since she was in high school now, she got to and from school by herself. Brett was dealing with everything Lynn-related, so school things had never been an issue before. Too bad Brett was in Taiwan for a couple of days to help his younger brother with a family emergency. In the end, he did the only thing he could think of.

Bretts father was very irritated when he showed up at his house and Eddy basically bullied him into the car and drove back across town to Lynns school. The poor man didn't spoke a word of English but Eddy had dealt with non-English speaking relatives navigating Australia all his life, he would excel the shit out of this task.

Arriving back, he basically slammed Wang Yangs ID's on the counter of the schools office and stared the secretary dead into the eyes.

Ridiculously, it did the trick.

Not even two minutes later a sheepish looking Lynn came through the door that was just behind the counter. Eddy and Brett seriously needed to talk about a potential school change. Grandpa Yang was very confused overall from the situation so Lynn and Eddy both translated forth and back between them and the headteacher that emerged as well before they were all allowed to leave.
