"come in!" i hear a shout from the other side accompanied by laughter. i open the front door and immediately smile as my eyes land on nia. i walk in as she jumps up from the couch and hurries over to me, ignoring what sam was saying. he shakes his head at her and looks over at us with a smile. "cindy, oh my God ive missed you so much. you have no idea." she tells me. she sounded happy and looked amazing for just giving birth not too long ago, the baby fat didn't stick around like she had been scared of. "i missed you too and i'm so sorry for missing sophias birth." i groan as we pull apart, still smiling about finally getting to see each other. she looks over my outfit and gasps.
"this is not the cindy i knew. where are the over sized clothes?" she whisper yells, looking over it again. "you have those shoes?!" she whines, letting her inner fashionista come out. "modeling perks" i shrug making her sigh. "i'll get you a pair for your birthday" i wink at her making her smile widely. "i'll just borrow yours. these are expensive." she tells me
"well hi to you too miss big time spanish model" nate teases before i could reply to nia. i look over at him standing in the door way to the hall before he runs over to me and jumps in my arms like he was a child. "nate!" i shriek, starting to fall backwards. he laughs and gets off of me quickly before i completely fell causing me to catch my balance. "i've missed you guys so much. you too sam" i whine, looking across the room at him holding sophia. i hurry over there and look down at her. "sam... i have to hold her. i've already missed five months." i tell him, he stands up and hands her to me causing me to hold her in my arms.
i couldn't help but stare down and admire her. "she looks just like you" i say looking over at nia. "she's so pretty you guys... too bad she has sam's fat head." i add making him let out a gasp. "i still can't believe you two ended up together!" i speak up again, unable to hold it back in time for sam to get in a complaint on my joke about his head. "how many times did we think it was going to happen back then? what like at least four?" nate asks me. i just shrug with a laugh. "there was so much"
"let me get a picture of her and her favorite aunt and uncle." nia runs over to us excitedly as she pulls her phone out. "nate get over there" she demands making him hurry over to me. she holds it up and i smile with sophia in my arms while nate gets beside me and throw some arm over my shoulder and puts another under sophia so he could help hold her some. "you three are all so cute." she tells me as she stares at the photo she took of us. "let me see" i say, moving closer to her. i look down at she shows me the picture and i fall in love with it. the picture was adorable
"you guys, i'm still really sorry about missing that day. i know it was so big for you guys." i apologize again, i don't know why i keep doing it if it won't make up for one of the most exciting days they've had. "don't sweat it" sam shakes his head, telling me not to worry about it. "no really cindy, you were in a whole other country and you just got your new job... you're moving back and that's all that matters" nia smiles. "i don't know how i'll ever make it up to her though" i say in a baby voice as i softly boop her nose.
