"did you hear me?" nia asks, waving her hand in the air from across the isle. i shake my head some, attempting to wake me up a little before looking back over at her. "sorry i've just been extremely exhausted the past few days" i chuckle some, not even knowing why i was physically tired. i've been doing everything i normally do. the past week and a half we've been planning the wedding hasn't been a struggle at all so i know it can't be that... i'm probably just starting to get old. i laugh a little at the thought and look down at the two fabric colors in her hands, already knowing what her question will be. "the lighter grey" i point to the option on the left. "i thought so... are you okay though?" she asks me, sounding worried about it. "i'm perfectly fine" i smile. "i probably just need some food or even a nap..."i laugh. "i've seen you tired before... are you sure you're okay.. is it you and jack?" she whispers making me shake my head immediately.

her words almost immediately woke me up. it was either that or how fast i shook my head no. "nia!" i laugh. "no! we're amazing... this has nothing to do with me and jack. how about we just take a break after we check out and go grab some food..?" i suggest and she nods. "okay, i just had to make sure... you're being weird, but food sounds amazing right now" she groans, looking over at sophia while she sat in her car seat in the basket. "i'm being weird?" i question, not realizing that i was. "no.. yes? i don't know... maybe you're just getting sick" she shrugs, her eyes widening. "stay away from her though if you think you are" she warns making me laugh. "i'm not sick. i don't feel sick, i just feel tired... and now extremely hungry." i raise my eyebrows, watching as she places the white fabric down and tossing the light grey one in there.

"so...when are you and sam going to tie the knot?" i wiggle my eyebrows. she laughs and shrugs. "hopefully soon... it's been long enough, dont you think?" she laughs, beginning to push the shopping cart up towards the front so we could check out and leave this damn store. "i'll bet he's just nervous. you know how sam is" i smile at her. she shakes her head. "he hit on me the day after tre broke up with me... he even did while we were together too! what does he have to be nervous about?" she presses. "he's older and more mature now, besides... he's probably just waiting on the right time... he's making a vow to be with you for the rest of your life, he most likely wants it to be perfect" i reassure her. "how do you think adam knew it was a good time to ask your mom?" she raises her eyebrows.

i fall silent, starting to think about all of it. there's really no telling, honestly... all i know is that they're in love. "i guess he just loves her enough to be with her for the rest of his life" i shrug, giving her a small laugh. "wow, that's helpful" she sarcastically smiles. before i could answer my phone behind to ring. we both slightly jump since we weren't expecting it. i smile at the contact name and mouth "it's jack" before handing her the weddings spending card and walking away from them.

"hii" i smile into the phone, happy he's calling. we didn't really get to talk this morning... mainly because we were in such a rush to get over to my parents house, we accidentally slept in. "hey baby" he chuckles at my enthusiasm. i hear a faint 'that better be my sister' followed by an 'it is dumbass' which makes me laugh at the two of them. the other day, you could tell how happy jake actually was that we got back together. he didn't want to show it too much, but i knew he was. they got so close before we broke up... i feel bad for that. "you two are so sweet to each other" i yawn, gearing a small laugh on the other end of the line. "anyways, i was just calling to check on you... you guys have been out for a while.. just making sure everything is fine" he changes the subject.
