"aye bro" johnson wakes me up, shaking me until my eyes open. i open them and immediately regret it from how sensitive my eyes were to the light, along with that my head was pounding. i drank way more than necessary last night. regina just kept pouring the drinks, we probably both drank more than necessary. i look next to me and see her still passed out, mascara was all under her eyes. i smirk a little to myself as some of the events from last night came to me. hot.
"what?" i groan, glaring at him. one of the things he knows i hate is when people wake me up the day after i've been drinking all night. my hangover was already starting to get at me, he needs to hurry this up. "we have to leave soon... we're all going out for lunch before cindy leaves." he tells me causing me to roll my eyes at the sound of her name. "i'm kind of busy." i nod my head over at regina who was starting to move around a little from our voices. he lets out a sigh and shakes his head. "as much as i hate to say this.. just bring her if she's that big of a deal right now." he sighs again, making me realize that my attendance was apparently needed at something that i haven't been looking forward to all week. when me and regina first started messing around, he absolutely couldn't stand her. his suggestion actually wasn't all that bad, it'd give me an escape from everyone... well, mainly nate and cindy. "alright. let us shower and we'll meet you up there." i sigh. he nods and walks out, shutting my door behind him. i stand up some and close the curtains to my blinds so it the light wouldn't kill her like it almost did to me. i sigh and attempt to wake her up.
when her eyes open she smirks up at me and laughs some. "already?" she asks me, thinking i probably woke her up for sex. i chuckle at her and shake my head softly. "we have to go to a lunch thing for cindy." i sigh as i explain it... wishing it was actually what she had thought. "let's take a shower" i tell her, she gets up and sighs. "we could just skip?" she suggests. it doesn't sound like a bad idea. "i told johnson i'd meet him up there." i explain and she nods. "well... a round in the shower wouldn't hurt." she smirks. ______
"finally!" nia smiles when she sees me walk in and take a seat at the table. her smile fades when she sees regina and glances over at cindy who didn't seem to care, she was in too deep of a conversation with sam to realize i was even here. i groan slightly and pull a chair out for regina so she could sit next to me. "oh... hey regina...?" nate mutters, giving me a blank stare from across the table. cindy furrows her eyebrows and looks up when she hears her name. "i thought it was just going to be people from our group...?" sammy whispers loudly as he sits next to me. i'm almost certain regina had heard, she looked tense about it. i sigh and place my hands on her thigh before looking over at him. "she stayed over last night." i say loud enough for everyone at the table to hear.
my eyes glance over at cindy, she didn't show the reaction i had expected. i don't exactly know the reaction i was looking for but the one she gave off wasn't it. she looked like it didn't matter, she didn't seem to be as phased by it as i thought she would have or at least hoped. "okay" sam nods, seeming like he still didn't understand why she was here. none of the guys liked her.... they most likely still don't but i honestly don't care at this point. i'll do what i want and they should be happy for me i guess. i actually enjoy hanging out with her sometimes. she's not all that bad. "anyways. sam and i thought of an idea!" cindy ignores what i had told them and starts to smile widely as everyone's face. "do you want to tell them?" she asks, looking at him as he sat in front of her.
"yeah i got it." he nods, turning to face all of us. "we were talking about maybe all going on vacation together when cindy is back from spain. we could all go rent a cabin for a week maybe?" he starts off. i smile at the idea of a vacation with all of my friends. a cabin, hiking, campfires, the woods...it sounded fun. "oh yes!" nia cheers, agreeing with it one hundred percent. "we can go the week she comes back." johnson adds in earning an excited nod from cindy. "i'm down for when ever." she tells us. "i'm down." i answer looking across the table at nate to see what he has to say about it. "yeah when ever is fine" he nods and glances over at regina who looked pleased with cindy and sams idea. he gives me a small shake of the head indicating not to invite her. it almost wasn't noticeable.
"that sounds fun" she whispers in my direction while everyone starts throwing in ideas about the vacation. she grabs my hand in her lap and intertwines her fingers with mine. nate was practically glaring at her as she said the words. "you should come with me. we could share a room." i tell her with a smirk on my face as i glance over at nate. he shakes his head and turns back to everyone else in the group. i can't lie, it was a dick move but bringing her along wouldn't be such a bad idea. she can help me get my mind off of things and i'm sure we'd enjoy each other's time together. "really?" she smiles causing me to nod. even if some of the group would hate it, i feel like they don't know her well enough to already be judging her. they know the extra snobby and bitchy high school regina. yeah she's still like that but not as bad. she's more tolerable and i'm sure they'd like her if they just tried to get to know her like i have.
"so it's settled? september ninth?" nate asks, pulling me away from my thoughts. i didn't know they had planned it so quickly. "september ninth." nia nods, agreeing with it. well.... i guess september ninth it is.
