i walk out of the bathroom after getting ready for the day, seeing nate sprawled our all across the top bunk. his mouth was slightly parted with drool making its way down his chin. i couldn't help but let out a small laugh at him. i pull out my phone and take a picture of it, knowing i'll need it later. i laugh again as i look at it but immediately stop and jump due to the sound of a pan hitting the floor from the kitchen. nate didn't even flinch. i'm surprised, the noise that came from the drop was loud. i'm sure everyone heard it. i wait a second to see who all it was but nobody says anything. i haven't really heard any noises or voices this whole time i was getting ready. they must all be asleep. it seems like the drive here last night really took the life out of everyone.

sighing i decide to walk out of mine and nates room and head towards the kitchen to see who was up. they're probably cooking and need some help. there's a lot of people to feed here. when i pass through the swinging doors leading into the kitchen, i couldn't help but stop when i see jack. his back was facing me. he had his shirt off so you could see all of his muscles. they've become more defined from last time i saw him. you can't help but stare. "what?" jack asks as he turns around. his voice was groggy. it sounded like he had just woken up. it's usually like that for around an hour after he does, i remember. i also remember when all of this used to make me want to melt. i mean he doesn't look bad... it's not a bad sight at all... it just doesn't seem like it's the jack i knew anymore.

he's changed.

more so his attitude than anything.

"i was just coming in here to see who it was." i answer honestly. "i heard the pan... i figured whoever was in here might have needed help cooking... there's a lot of us." i add onto my previous statement with a small laugh, hoping to start some conversation so it's not just an awkward silence. "it's just me" he shrugs, sounding like he didn't care at all about what i had just said. his tone made me furrow my eyebrows. i couldn't stop the scoff coming from my mouth at this point. an annoyed sigh leaves his mouth right after the scoff is out of mine. "what?"

you could hear the disinterest in his voice. it actually made me mad. the way he's been acting recently isn't the jack i knew. the jack i knew never... and i mean never would have done any of this. his snide comments and crude looks in my direction are nothing of what he used to be. he's changed so much. it's only right to address it. the way he's been acting toward me isn't mature in any way whatsoever. it's actually pretty annoying if i'm being honest. it's like he can't be decent to me like he is to nia, sam, and johnson. sometimes he's decent to nate but other than that i just see him glaring at him all the time for who knows what.
