Y/N sulked out of bed and went to the meeting room at the center of the bunker.  On her way, multiple secret agents gave her a second glance. Mainly because she looked like a hot mess. The hair on her head had transformed into a bush. It bent and curved around in unusual and peculiar ways. The bags under her eyes had somehow grown darker and seemed to be more visible than the day before. Dry lips, dead eyes, clammy hands, and a funky walk were mere details.

The fact that she wore clean clothes made her look a bit more presentable. She tried to brush her hair with her hand as she entered the room but her hand got tangled and she had to jerk her hand back out, taking a few strangs of hair with her.  "Good morning to you as well," She heard. As she looked up, she noticed Bruce sitting at a desk behind a laptop. He seemed to be closely monitoring it.

"Feel any better?" He asked as Y/N sat on the desk. "Better than yesterday," She huffed with a slight smile. "That's good. Loki has calmed down as well. He decided to meditate for the whole evening so he could forget about the nausea he was experiencing." Bruce told her. Y/N chuckled. "Sounds like him, to be honest,"

"So we're in Turkey?" She asked as she looked at the laptop screen. It displayed a few security tapes from inside the bunker and outside the bunker. "At one of the coasts close to Greece. The locals won't even notice our arrival," Bruce mumbled as she kept staring at the screen. "Okay... But can we go into the local town?" Y/N asked Bruce. "What? No. We can't. Tony almost threw a lamp at us when we went to the local fast food joint."

"And since when is Tony your boss," Y/N asked. "Since he decided to pay for all of this," Bruce answered with a shrug. "Fine, I didn't want you to be my travel buddy anyway," Y/N huffed and folded her arms.

"Yes, you do-"

"Okay, yes. I do. Please come with me to the town," Y/N pleaded and clasped her hand together. "Why are you so set on going?" Bruce asked.

'Because Hydra asked me to explore the local towns, ya dingus.'

"Because I don't get out that often," Y/N complained. "This is a mission, not a holiday. It's not safe," Bruce explained. "There are enemies and officers of Hydra all around. You are forbidden to go out," Bruce said a bit sterner. "Okay, mom." Y/N grinned. "Don't you dare," Bruce threatened. "I won't go out," Y/N lied with a shrug. Bruce looked at her for a bit before turning his attention back to the monitor. He propped his elbow up on the desk and rested his face on his hand, covering his mouth. Finally, he exhaled from his nose and looked at Y/N. "Just so you know, we have a meeting around 9 pm," he told her.

"Thanks, bud," Y/N said and gave him a pat on the back before standing up and walking toward the exit. As she walked out, Y/N realized she couldn't go alone. She needed someone by her side just in case she started to look a little bit suspicious.

So she did the only thing she could do.

"Hey, you!"

Loki opened his eyes, adjusting them to the light as he awoke from his long meditation. "I guess you're not throwing up anymore," Loki slowly said. "Not yet," Y/N smiled as she looked at Loki from the back. He chose a tiny room which was allined with carpet, probably used for praying. Back turned to the door, he had been meditating for the entire night. Y/N kicked off her shoes and sat down in front of Loki. "You're not supposed to sit in front of someone who is meditating," Loki lectured and cocked an eyebrow. "You're not meditating right now," Y/N argued back with a smile.

"Fair enough."

"So," Y/N started. "I want to go visit the local town," She continued. "I asked Bruce and-" "I'm not going to that Midgardian town," Loki interrupted. "Awww, come on," Y/N whined and leaned forward. Loki shook his head.  "It's hot outside and I have no intent to socialize,"

Y/N was annoyed, but then something hit her like a brick. "You know," She mumbled. "Bruce told me I couldn't go," She started. This caught Loki's interest, as the God of mischief. "So, technically, if we went... We'd be, you know, breaking the rules a bit," Loki knew exactly what she was doing. But he hadn't done anything to stimulate the kid inside of him for a while. Conflicted, he started contemplating it.

"What's in it for me?" He finally asked when Y/N began to stare at him for an uncomfortable amount of time. "I can get your daggers back," Y/N promised. "How?" Loki whispered as he furrowed his eyebrows. "Some things are better left unsaid," Y/N answered. He immediately felt a feeling of distrust but battled it with his flood of excitement.

"When do we leave?"

"I told you, she is incomplete. You can't punish a subject that can't do better than-" "That's enough!" Payton quickly shut his mouth and glared at the ground. "You promised me results, professor," The irritated voice said over the telephone. "And she gave those results," Payton argued. "We don't have access to Stark's database. Only to SHIELD's," The boss reminded the professor. "You've seen the security footage. Your team unleashed gas and deformed test subjects into the hotel while she was still downstairs. You gave my poor girl a minute's notice!"

You could hear the boss getting angry just by his breathing. "It doesn't matter anyway," The boss grunted. "I've already done the responsible thing and sent an agent to push her back in line," Payton frowned and put his hand in his grey hair. "What do you mean?" He quickly asked. "A Hydra agent is on their way to firmly tell 'your girl' that she is doing a bad job and that she should step up. Physical violence will be present," The boss explained. "Y-You can't do that." Payton stuttered and started walking back and forth.

"Too bad, so sad. You should've done a better job at disciplining her, Payton," And with that, the line was harshly cut off, leaving only a loud and repetitive beeping sound behind. Payton lowered the telephone from his ear and rubbed his eyes in disbelief.
