Dad got me to predict his Sky Sports Super Six results, he definitely didn't win the money this week! I predicted 3-0 for this one would've one for 3-1 but I want those clean sheets. At least I got the result right unlike most of the others! I heard Alisson is available but Adrian keeps his place. After seeing Hugo LLoris dislocate his elbow from jumping to catch a ball, and falling I was scared of Adrian doing anything that could have the same result.
Brendan Rodgers was rightly given a warm reception on his first return to Anfield following his sacking four years earlier. It was good to see him and Kolo Toure again even if I only saw Kolo when he celebrated Leicester's goal.
Wilfried Ndidi is shown a yellow card for that challenge on Milner. We thought he was going to get sent off with the way he was going about things.
A VAR check for a red card after Alexander-Arnold had tangled with Tielemans down by the corner flag. No sending off. Dad said it was time to end football if that's red but they have to look.
Free-kick to Leicester sees Soyunucu attacks it but it's brilliantly saved by Adrian. The offside flag was up, anyway.
I predicted the first goal (out of all 6 games) would come at 10 minutes on the logic that Liverpool like to score early but won't against Leicester because it'll be tough. It took 40!
It was a brilliant long pass from Milner, confidently slotted home by Mane. His 100th Premier League appearance for Liverpool today and he's got his 50th goal.
Vardy gets a telling off from the ref for clattering Adrian as he tried to pass it out. Adrian was fuming too.
Milner blazes over the bar after Salah had laid it off to him with his back to goal, Good move, deserved a better finish.
Booking for Soyunucu for holding back Salah. Clear as day, that one. Salah was in there, too.
We thought it was in! Mane and Salah exchange passes it is eventually deflected onto Mane by a defender before it flies just wide.
Vardy has just been clear and through, he was onside, and Adrian stopped the chance with a tackle!
Robertson wanted another goal, bursting down the left, combining with Salah and breaking into the area but shooting straight at Schemiechel.
Perez escapes Fabinho and lays Maddison in and he tucks it past Adrian to equalise.
Salah does brilliantly to escape Soyuncu before Choudhury throws in a tackle. He goes in the book, deservedly so. Klopp is mad at that one.
Mane brought down after a mix up at the back. Milner with the chance to win it. This is huge. Albrighton fouled him. Brendan Rodgers and Match of the Day think it was only a penalty because VAR agrees with the ref unless he was clearly wrong... so he got it right and it was a penalty? I couldn't believe it, I didn't know where to look or what to do about this last chance.
Milner obviously slots it home, Mr dependable. Those wild shots earlier were to make sure he knew where the net was when his time came!
Perez has absolutely lost his head at the final whistle. He was trying to scrap with the Liverpool players, Andy Robertson particularly. Adrian and others calm the situation.
Liverpool, top of the league! Liverpool, Liverpool top of the league!
After the match I got straight into my next Inktober prompt and again today - today's was a Husky - a wolf-like dog.
Man City just lost 2-0 to Wolves! I can not believe Wolves of this season managed that. When dad said he was told it was 0-1 I said no way not this season (last season they were giant killers within the league) but this season they're struggling. We scrambled to get Sky Sports newson and then it was two! We stay 8 points ahead!
Also Rangers won and Celtic lost so its been a good weekend for football! Crazy, crazy football!
It's time for another international break! Damn it, I wanna go into the next match already!
Next up Man United away, Sunday 20th October, 16:30.
Ole is still at the wheel. What if we get him sacked like we did Mourinho? They need to keep giving him time at least until our home match against them.
