The women haven't played, they have Blackburn Rovers in the FA cup in Sunday. They used the last of their transfer window to sign Canadian goalkeeper Rylee Foster after Kitching suffered a horrible facial injury in training. Foster has a YNWA tattoo which reminded me I once said I'd get something like that if the men won something but in reality I'll remain tattoo free even if both sides of the club win everything possible in one season.
Wolves certainly didn't let anyone down on being a very tough opponent.
Dad's so keen to get everything wrapped up that he's getting frustrated if they're not three up in the first ten minutes so he was already complaining and then the corner came.
Alexander-Arnold whips over the corner he won, bending it the the edge of the six-yard box via that almost 90-degree run-up. Henderson charges onto it and, probably with his shoulder as it turns out, converts! Since the start of last season, Trent Alexander-Arnold has assisted 22 PL goals.
VAR checked for handball which really confused me (forgetting most of the arm comes under hand) since I didn't see any hands at all. It came off his shoulder, it's fine. Unusually quickly dealt with too.
Traore beats Robertson on the other side and, from his centre, Van Dijk has to chaperone Jimenez carefully away from goal.
Salah works a good shooting chance inside the box only for Jonny to block heroically.
Traore bounces four of five reds off of him but then his pass is wayward.
Mane went off with a hamstring issue and Minamino replaced him. When Mane first sat down then immediately stood up again when the game stopped I thought he'd faked it to break up the game and was shocked! I wish that was the case.
Jimenez takes possession on the left of the area, takes a couple of touches inside, and then drags wide of Alisson's near post.
Traore messes around just outside his own are, Salah got the ball but can't beat Patricio with an arrowed left-footer.
Wolves ruin our clean sheet run. It's Jimenez who marauds into the Liverpool half and feeds Traore into space before continuing his run into the box. Traore delivers expertly and directs his finish wonderfully into the corner on the run! Now the fear that they do what they do to teams like City is real.
Moutinho's free-kick is punched away by Alisson.
Traore has room again and is thwarted by Alisson's low one-handed stop as he looks to rake one into the bottom corner!
Alisson bails out Liverpool again after the unplayable Traore slips through the almost unplayable Jimenez.
Traore goes part of the way past Van Dijk, shoots too early, from 22 yards, and drags it wide.
Firmino dances beautifully past Coady and probably scores if he lifts the ball over Patricio. Instead he goes low and saved.
Firmino gets it right after Salah, with some beautiful control and footwork, lays off to Henderson. The skipper promptly plays Firmino in just like that and, after cutting inside, he blasts it high into the net! Liverpool take the lead again.
When they said it was four added minutes I told them to go back and do their maths again!
Traore's cross is yet again right on point and nudged back by Jimenez for Jota who screws over from in front of goal!
That's it! Back to 16 points clear with a game in hand! Right now I'm thinking maybe we could do what the invincibles did.
Next up Shrewsbury away in the FA cup, Sunday 26th January 2020, 17:00.
