The women beat Blackburn Rovers 8-1 to progress in the FA Cup. Why couldn't that match be on telly?!
Lovren, Matip and Fabinho are back so I was confident in the team, I forgot about match fitness. Lovren was captain, maybe it should've been someone else's armband. Everyone's passes were sloppy, Shrewsbury were seemingly only ever stopped by the offside flag. This was nothing like the team that ultimately beat Everton. The only good was Adrian. He was quick off his line several times to clear and allowing Liverpool to keep a very high line. I did my Adriiiiaaan impression too many times again today.
Jones became the 1st teen to score in consecuative matches for us since Sterling. Brilliant ball from Chirivella down the inside left channel and Jones was in to move away from the defence and finish well.
The second half starts with Williams' cross being turned into the net by Love, who sidefoots into the bottom corner. It didn't even register that it was a goal it was so unlucky for them.
Commentators think it's all over, they know nothing.
Laurent goes through and goes down under pressure from Larouci earning a penalty. VAR would've said it was out the box but it's at this ground so no one's looking - completely fair competition that. Cummings scored it.
Oxlade-Chamberlain for Elliott.
Great save from O'Leary to deny Origi effort from miles out.
They equalise. Lovren was done too easily by Cummings and he keeps his cool to spot past Adrian.
Salah for Matip
Firmino for Minamino.
Each substitution made me madder, they weren't supposed to play in this!
Curtis Jones comes close to being the hero once again. Brilliant defending from Shrewsbury stops him though.
Four minutes of time added on for either side to stop the replay. Salah sends a header narrowly wide. Damn it!
Shrewsbury could've saved us from the replay but Cummings headed over. Damn it!
This is the first time in a long time that I've felt so frustrated and annoyed after a match. We did not need a replay and now I've read neither Klopp or any of the seniors are going to be involved in the replay. I don't blame him, they need their "winter break" and I wouldn't want to watch over that again either.
The draw for both the men and the women is tomorrow evening.
Next up West Ham, away in the PL, Wednesday 29th January 2020, 19:45.
The match in hand we avoided to become champions of the world can be avoided no longer. David Moyes is back.
