We're out of the FA cup Chelsea won 2-0, completing the FA cup symmetry between both halves of the club. I can't explain the first goal so in a way I was glad it didn't come down to that.

Alisson is out so we've got Adrian for a while again. Robertson had to be replaced by Milner, I thought he wouldn't be able to run enough, that was wrong, he brought the energy in every sense, that goal line clearance says it all.

Bournemouth take the lead against the run of play. Joe Gomez looked to take a push from eventual goalscorer Callum Wilson in the build-up but the goal has been given with the striker tapping home from Lerma's low cross. VAR gives it. Apparently it's not obvious enough.

Salah has his 70th Premier League goal on his 100th appearance. The Reds needed that. He finds the bottom corner after Mane had stolen possession and squared it to him. I thought the chance was gone when Mane passed especially since it went behind Salah. Salah's scored 20+ goals in 3 consecutive seasons for the Reds!

2-1 to Liverpool as Mane races clean through from Van Dijk's well-weighted pass. It's a lovely finish to take the lead.

James Milner with some iconic defending as he stops a certain goal. Incredible. He raceD back to clear off the line after Ryan Fraser had lobbed Adrian.

Van Dijk meets Alexander-Arnold's corner well. It's held by Ramsdale.

Mane almost scored a goal of the season. Bent it from 25 yards against the bar!

Salah cuts in from the right, jinks past a challenge and tries his luck but Ramsdale tips it behind at the near post.

Late changes. Adam Lallana replaced Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Bournemouth think they have a great chance to equalise as Callum Wilson tries to tap in but the offside flag is up.

Massive chance for Firmino after a great dummy from Lallana, he put it into the Kop! Will that Anfield goal come this season? Origi for Firmino, so not today, at least.

All this Corona virus stuff got the handshake banned but everyone still did handshakes, high fives, hugs and all that in the end.

22 home league wins in a row surpasses Bill Shankly's team in 1972 for a new all-time English top-flight record. Fortress.

Three to go. 25 points clear again. Dare we hope Ole can do a job tomorrow?

I convinced myself more and more that they could, ready for the disappointment but they only went and did it. Mctominay when he took advantage of Ederson's misplaced pass, my jaw dropped. Never thought I'd be praising a Man United goal but what a goal. Correction, two to go.

Next Atletico Madrid at home in the Champions League, Wednesday 11th March 2020, 20:00.

We have to overcome that deficit, if anyone can do it, Anfield can.
