→ KORY HELD ONTO conner while eve and krypto stood outside the doorway, "alright, eve, stay back. this is gonna get a little crazy." kory said.
kory looked at rachel, "you ready?"
"uh.. i hope so." rachel replied.
"rachel."
"yes. obviously, i am fully confident." rachel added.
"just.. contain me." kory said. "let's do it." rachel inhaled deeply and her red gem started glowing. she extended out her arms and the demon inside her flowed out and around kory as she activated her fire powers.
eve widened her eyes, "holy... shit." eve said softy. the demon went back into rachel's body and she lowered her arms.
conner lifted his head off of kory's shoulder and looked at her. "well, hi." kory said.
conner looked at rachel, "hi." rachel said. conner looked over at eve. eve smiled and laughed in joy.

"it's gonna be a while before the radiation fully saturates but you're gonna be okay." eve told conner.
"i'm sorry." conner said softly.
"what for?" eve asked.
"you told me not to be a hero..." conner replied.
"you have nothing to be sorry for. okay? that advice i gave you, that was terrible!" eve said making conner smile.
"the world is much better with you in it." eve said.
"what's gonna happen to you.. m..." conner hesitated. eve nodded, "say it."
"mom." conner said. eve smiled. conner did as well.
"i'm gonna be okay." eve said. "i'm gonna get as far away from lex corp as possible. but i'm gonna be fine. you're gonna need a few days of sleep to recover," eve brought the sheets over conner, "you rest."
"my sweet boy." eve said. she kissed his forehead and left the room for conner to rest.
krypto barker and ran up on the bed. "hey boy." conner said. krypto licked his face and conner smiled, holding onto him.

dick pulled up in front of the church on his motorcycle. he walked inside and saw his hallucination of bruce standing there.
