A/N: Based off the song by the same name! Please, do enjoy this! I have had this idea for so long, and I've been sitting on this bitch for too long! Sorry 'bout that! Anyway, before we start, this is an AU that takes place during the Great Depression, in America since I'm American and writing this shit for Japan would be wicked hard. This means 1930's slang. This means shit that seems like it won't make sense. So, definitions are at the bottom! If there is a word or phrase you don't understand, and it isn't down there, write a comment, and I'll get back to you! Quick FYI, if you don't recognize the name Taishiro or Keigo, look them up with BNHA afterward. With that, here she is!
Eijirou's POV
Saturday, January 25th, 1934
21:00, PST"Well, ain't this just swell. This song sure is behind the eight ball, huh?" I muttered to myself, spinning a pencil between my finger.
I write and perform songs for a living, but I just can't seem to get anything done for this next one. I don't have anything at all.
"Maybe Hanta can give me ideas." I sighed, pushing myself away from my desk.
Taishiro's juice joint opened back up recently since prohibition ended a month or so back.
During prohibition, Hanta, a worker at Taishiro's and my pally wasn't anything but a dewdropper
"I'll blouse over to see what he thinks." I said, grabbing my overcoat and hat before getting out the door, note book and pencil in hand.

"Ah, this song's gonna be all wet, ain't it?" I slumped over on the bar after Hanta told me he didn't have squat.
"I'm sorry, I just can't dig the way you do!" Hanta sighed, washing a glass.
I sat up and looked around the bar, looking for something that might catch my eye.
Same average joes. Kyouka, Mei and Mina were delivering drinks as always, Shouto and Izuku were making drinks alongside Hanta. Hitoshi and Denki were chatting at a table, Denki looking buzzed. Shouta, Hizashi and Keigo were drinking the day away.
"Swell." I sighed, rubbing my face with my hands.
"Hold on, don't lose hope yet." Hanta said, smacking my shoulder lightly. "Look."
He pointed over to a corner, where some mysterious man stood.
He was leaning against the wall, a harmonica in his hands.
"Who's that cancelled stamp over there?" I asked.
"No clue. Ask him. He looks like a cat." Hanta said.
"Not everyone who does music is a cat." I scoffed before standing up and sauntering over to the mysterious stranger.
"Hey, you look a little fluky. Wanna get some giggle juice and siddown?" I asked him, throwing a thumb to the bar.
"Dry up, will ya?" He snarled at me, baring his teeth. "Before I bop ya, y'hear?"
"Sorry for blabbing, Bruno. Hope the coppers don't find me after." I said. "If you do decide to bump guns with me later, I'll be at the bar."
I walked back to the bar and sat down, noticing the man next to me.
"Gin and tonic." He sighed, sliding Hanta a Lincoln across the bar.
