Kiribaku Oneshots

❓ I'm Eijirou Kirishima, and You Can't Keep Me Trapped Here Anymore ❓

A/N: Man, I have been listening to music a lot. And one song that keeps coming up is another Steven Universe one, but it's an instrumental. If you recognize the title, cool. If not, cool. I don't entirely care, I'm just happy y'all are reading this. This will be a Steven Universe AU, so here are our characters (although I did change Kirishima's gem) :

Bakugou - Steven (Rose Quartz)
Iida - Pearl
Kaminari - Amethyst
Todoroki - Garnet
Kirishima - Lapis Lazuli (I changed his gem from that to an Onyx)

A fair amount of this will be a flashback, but still! At first, I called this angst, but I wasn't sure when I finished.

Bakugou's POV

I hunched over behind a rock, panting. I had one hand on my knee, the other on the mirror.

"What the fuck did they do to you?" I murmured, flipping it over and running a finger down the crack in the gemstone on it.

The black and red gemstone had a thick ravine running through it, a few hairline cracks branching off of that.

There was some sort of gem, like Iida or even myself, shoved in the back of this mirror.

"We found this gem-powered mirror at the galaxy warp," Iida explained to me after he summoned a mirror from the pearl on his forehead. "It can capture and display any event it's witnessed in all of gem history!"

The mirror floated over to me before it dropped into my hands.

"It'll offer you anything you wanted to know about your fellow gems and our culture!"

I looked at the mirror with a bored expression before letting out a small chuckle. "Well, I must be pretty important to gem culture, then,"

"That's just you. It hasn't even been activated," Iida sighed before clearing his throat. "Show us the galaxy warp,"

I quietly waited to see if anything would happen, and...

Nothing.

"Show us the galaxy warp," Iida tried again.

Still no dice.

"Well, it is in pretty rough shape. I guess it must finally be broken," Iida sighed, as he pushed his glasses up onto his face further.

"Yeah, I guess so," I sighed.

I had ended up taking that thing out on the town. I was able to talk to Kendou and Tetsutetsu for a bit until I kept walking.

For some reason, the mayor was driving on the boardwalk and I almost got run over.

But the mirror... screamed?

It played back audio from when I bumped into a table Tetsutetsu was setting up.

"WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING, YOU F...."

I paused and gawked at the mirror.

"What was that?" I murmured, looking into the mirror.

My reflection rippled before turning into the chuckle from when I first saw it. It played the same exact noise too.

"So you do work!" I said, grinning at it. "Wait, what's it like being in a mirror?"

My reflection rippled again. "You do work!"

"So you repeat stuff?"

"Yeah, I guess so,"
