i woke up to the sound of my phone vibrating every couple of seconds, making me groan and shift uncomfortably on jackie's couch. i walk over to the bathroom and brush my teeth, still half asleep and then head back to jackie's room. i sit down on the couch, seeing lots of unread messages from the groupchat with jackie, the boys and i.

i got off the couch and went to grab the clothes that i had kept here in jackie's closet, just in case. i change into a blue shirt and some jeans, then i put on my vans and head out into the living room. jackie is sitting on the couch facetiming one of her friends from back home i guess, "i gotta go, bye drake," she says once she sees me. "okay, love you j," the guy says, making me look at jackie confused. "love you too drake, bye," she says laughing at my face and ending the call, standing up to face me. "who's drake?" i ask walking over to her, "he's my bestfriend from back home," she says, making me feel a little jealous of the fact that she had another bestfriend besides me.

"dont worry, you'll always be my number one bestie," she says, ruffling my hair around, making me laugh and shove her hand away. "ma, we're leaving now! love you!" jackie says yelling upstairs to her mom, "okay bye amores! be careful," she yells back down. "bye tia!" i yell as we walk outside, and get inside jackie's car. she starts up her car and we begin the short drive over to alejandro's house, jackie asks me to hand her the aux cord and she plugs in her phone. the song 'love songs' by kaash paige begins to play softly, and jackie turns up the stereo. "i miss my cocoa butter kisses hope you smile when you listen," she sings softly, as the song plays.

the song continues to play and i sing along laughing at how into the zone jackie gets while singing. a few songs later, we arrive at alejandro's house and i send him a text telling him we're outside. he walks outside, smiling and waving at me and jackie while walking over to the car. "what's up alvaro, hey jackie," he says dapping me up, then doing his and jackie's handshake they made up. "so do you wanna talk about it?" jackie asks, referring to alejandro's text message from earlier. "i mean, theres not much to say..." alejandro confesses, "she thought i was cheating, i wasn't, i told her that and she didnt believe me, so i broke up with her."

"what the fuck, im sorry ale, you dont deserve that," jackie says, me agreeing with her. "im fine, i just told her i want all my stuff back, but jackie... can you get it for me..." alejandro says, making jackie do a double take. "ale... i love you and all... but i dont think its a good idea for me to get involved..." jackie says cautiously, looking at alejandro in the rearview mirror. "i know, and im sorry for asking you, its just that i really dont wanna see her," he says looking out the window. "and i would ask alvaro but i already know she'll just be petty with him," he continues on as i turn to look at him.

"and what's to say she wont be petty with me?" jackie says, looking at her phone to make sure we were going the right way. "she likes you, she dont like none of my friends no more," alejandro pleads with her, making her give in. "fine, but im not getting involved anymore," she says, earning thanks from alejandro. we finally arrive at victoria's house, and jackie parks her car, "ale, you fuckin owe me man," she says, unplugging her phone, opening the door and getting out of the car. she walks up to the door and knocks, standing there looking back and forth between us in the car and the door.
