"hey baby," i smile, as jackie gets in my car. "hey amor," she smiles back, yawning as i pull away from her house. "long night?" i ask her, noticing she looks more tired than usual. "kinda," she says with a half smile, leaning over and placing her head on the window.

"wanna skip today?" i ask her, looking between her and the road. "real question is, do i wanna get my ass beat when i get home," she says with a half laugh. "but yeah, sure, i'm too tired," she says with a yawn. "let's go back to my place then," i say, turning my car around and heading in the opposite direction of the school.

"sounds great," she smiles, leaning back in the seat and interwining her hand with mine. "thank you for saturday baby, i had a lot of fun," she says, smiling over at me. "you're welcome mamas, i'm glad, you deserve it," i say, smiling over at her. "i'm guessing you did something yesterday and that's why you're so tired?" i ask her, chuckling at how tired she looks.

"yeah, we went to visit my brothers and didn't get back until super late," she says, yawning again. "well luckily for you, we're here," i say, turning of the car and getting out, opening the door for jackie. "thank you bubba," she says with a small smile, getting out of the car and walking to the front door.

"you can go to my room, i'll be there in a sec, you hungry?" i ask her, walking into the kitchen and opening the fridge. "no, i'm okay, i'll get something later," she says before heading in the direction of my room. after grabbing a water, i walk over to my room to see jackie sprawled out on the bed.

"babe," i laugh, setting my water down next to the bed. "scoot over," i say, pressing a kiss to her cheek, making her move so i could lay down. "good night," she mumbles as i wrap my arms around her, both of us drifting off to sleep. i'm awoken due to the feeling of vibrations coming from under jackie, making me guess that it was her phone.

trying not to wake her, i reach under jackie, grabbing her phone and realizing it was her mom. "jackie, your mom's calling," i tell her, causing her to jump up. "fuck," she mumbles before answering the phone. "hola ma," jackie says sweetly, making me laugh.

"en la casa de alejandro," jackie says, looking back over at me. "porque yo no queria ir,"she says, yawning. "lo siento mami," she says sighing. "okay, bye, love you," jackie says before pulling the phone away from her ear. "well, what'd she say?" i ask the girl who gives me a sleepy smile.

"i'm in trouble, but she said we'll talk about it when she gets home," she says nervously. "i'm sorry jackie," i say, feeling bad since i was the one who suggested us skipping. "dont worry about it, its nothing i haven't dont before," she yawns, placing a kiss ontop of my head before standing up and stretching.

"you want something from chipotle?" jackie asks, picking up her phone and opening the postmates app. "sure," i smile, getting up going to the bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror. "you look hot with your bed head," jackie says, chuckling as she looks at me through the mirror. "preciate it," i say, covering up my face so she couldn't see the redness.

"i love you," i say, running over and jumping on the bed, tackling her gently. "and i love you too," she says softly, leaning up and pecking my lips. "one sec," she says giggling, grabbing her phone that was vibrating from beneath us. "your mom again?" i ask as she opens her phone, going to her messages. "no, kairi, he asked if i was there today cause they're doing partner work." she says, reading the message and typing out a response.

"oh," i say, unwrapping my arms from around her and feeling a tad bit of jealousy grow inside me. "be right back j," i say, giving her a small smile before walking out to the kitchen before she could say anything. "sup bro, why aren't you at school ?" robert asks as his face pops up on the facetime call. "i could ask you the same thing, me and jackie skipped," i sigh, looking back towards my room to see jackie still on her phone.

"you good alex?" robert asks, making me turn my attention back to him. "you don't think kairi and jackie are gonna get back together, right?" i ask quietly, not wanting the girl in the room to hear. "what? bro, i doubt it, jackie adores you," robert says, caught off guard by my question. "where's this coming from?" he asks me, making me think back to some weeks before her birthday. "i dunno, they just started getting close again, and then the whole thing with him getting her that necklace for her birthday."

"which she still hasn't told me about, and now he's texting her randomly and i dont know, i just feel like its weird since their exes, you know?" i rant, setting my phone down. "well, maybe its for you? they were both your friends at one point and maybe they don't want it to be awkward for you, and the whole necklace thing i wouldn't worry about, she loves you, alex, not kairi," robert says, "damn i'm good at giving advice." i chuckle, shaking my head at the boy, "thanks rebound, i'll see you tomorrow, yeah?"

i ask looking back at the phone. "for sure, see ya," he says before i end the call and walk back into my room. "you okay? took a while," jackie says, a worried look prominently setting on her face. "all good baby," i smile, holding my arms out for her to give me a hug, "i love you alejandro."
