"Still want to hear the story of of Victoria and I met?" Rayan asked Mhara as he was carrying down the mountainside.
"As long as the laughter doesn't kill me, I can feel your damn Dawnguard potion wearing off and some of the pain is coming back." Mhara winced as she answered him.
Rayan recalls when he met Victoria for the first time.

It was Rayans third ever contract since his mentor finally saw he was ready to set out on his own. It was at the Windhelm notice board outside the inn, guards and mercenaries were needed as protection for a caravan. Just outside the Windhelm Stables was the caravan the notice had listed consisted of two wagons one was already full with the driver waiting to go, the other had the driver yelling at two guards who were loading the rest of the supplies onto the back of the wagon.
"YOU THERE" shouted the driver to Rayan. "ARE YOU HERE TO BE A GUARD?"
"YES SIR" Rayan shouted back as he held up the notice to the driver.
"WELL THEN GET THE FUCK OVER HERE AND STAND WATCH, JUST BECAUSE WE ARE NEAR THE CITY DOESN'T MEAN WE CANT BE ROBBED, AND YOU'RE GOING TO BE PAID 5,000 IF YOU GET US THERE SUCESSFULLY." screamed the driver sounding like he was about to burst a testicle.
So Rayan did as he was told with a smile at the thought of being paid 5,000 gold for simple guard work and started standing around the two wagons occasionally moving back and fourth between the wagons until it was time to go.
"Finished." said both of the guards at the same time.
"Ok" said the second driver. "LETS GO ALREADY"
The caravan started moving, Rayan and a few of the other hired guards started walking along side them in a rather slow speed.
"So what is your story Dawnguard?" Asked a a Redguard who was walking next to Rayan.
"What do you mean?" responded Rayan.
"Your medallion, you're a Dawnguard Hunter. Why are you doing simple guard work?" Asked the Redguard.
"Do you two dumbasses really think this is simple guard work?" Butted in another an Orc as if trying not to laugh.
"The hell makes you think this is simple? Walking two full wagons from Windhelm to Riften with this many guards?" He gestured to Rayan and his group along with guards in the back which equaled to about 12 armed guards.
"Not to mention the imperal and ex-stormcloak back there." He pointed to the two in the back. "And you Dawnguard." He pointed at Rayan.
"This would be a prime target for the Thieves Guild. The moment we get into a nice isolated area, I'm betting thats when they'll pounce." He continued.
"Whats the Thieves Guild?" Rayan asked the orc.
"You're fucking kidding me, right?"
"Their description is in their name." Chided in the Redguard
"Except they are spread throughout all of Tamerial along with the rumored rivals called the Summerset Shadows, and if you can't tell by the name they are from the Summerset Isles, so they are or are mostly high elves." He continued.
"So it can all be considered a huge conspiracy that the Thalmor are funding them so they can indirectly drain the Empire of resources." The orc said.
"How so?" Asked Rayan
"The more guards they send back to the imperial city instead of securing the borders weakens them." The orc implied.
"But the Guild don't kill when they don't want to." Informed the Redguard. "They either have the most skilled knock out guards or have the Dark Brotherhood combine contracts."
