Rayan had shown Kirena the table with the plans on it.
"A few days from now there is going to be an execution. We are going to stop it." He said to the huntress. "Tomorrow we are going to review it then I will show you where you will be."
"How is this person going to die?" Kirena asked.
"DONT SAY THAT!" Rayan shouted at her making Kirena back up in fear. "Sorry, this person is very dear to me and I refuse to even think of what might happen if we fail."
"I'm sorry." Kirena said.
Rayan literally waved the comment away. "I didn't mean to shout, these past couple of months have been hell and now it got worse." Rayan said as his blood was still boiling.
Kirena nodded, she could tell Rayan was extremely agitated by something and didn't want to make him mad.
"I'll pay for you room." He said as he left and went to the barmaid and ordered an room for Kirena then went back to his.
"We will get Victoria back." Erik said trying to comfort him.
"I know we will yet why does it still hurt?" Rayan asked.
"Thats the feeling of uselessness." Serana said. "Believe me I know it when I see it. But you can and are doing something about it."
Rayan took a deep breath trying to calm himself. "Its too rare a feeling for me to know it."
"Get some rest." Kumeron said. "Anybody can sense your anger right now and you will want to be clear headed when this happens. We all need to be."
"How is Mhara?" Erik asked.
"She will be walking the next time she is awake." Kumeron said. "It won't be long and by what you told me of her she will be kicking, screaming, and swearing back to normal."
Rayan let out a chuckle at the very image Kumeron just put into his head.
"Are you sure you don't need a break?" He asked.
"Man I have stayed up much longer than this preparing for lectures and subjects on this." Kumeron responded. "It is you who needs the break."
Rayan took another sigh.
"Go." Erik said. "Serana and I will watch over and we will get our sleep tomorrow."
Rayan place his hand on his apprentice's shoulder to show his appreciation then went to the next room over.
He took of his sword and armor then fell into bed trying to fall asleep without tearing up and crying as he looked at her necklace still wrapped around his wrist.
The next morning when he woke up Rayan immediately put his armor and sword then went back to the room to see Erik already telling Kirena the plan. He saw Serana was asleep in a chair and Kumeron was leaning on his staff still at Mharas bedside. Karliah was nowhere to be found.
Kirena seemed a lot more quiet then yesterday but Rayan didn't dwell on it, they had four more days till Victoria's execution which he made sure would be interrupted.
As Rayan approached the table he saw some rather odd looking arrows with the tip up instead of down in Kirenas quiver.
"What are these?" Rayan asked startling the huntress as she didn't hear him come in.
"Arrows somebody made for me for helping him." She said as she drew one out and handed it to Rayan not taking her eyes of it or him as he looked it over. "They were meant to cut the ropes of poacher traps." She added as she hinted at wanting it back.
