Kumeron took a long silent breath of relief as his headache started to relieve itself when he looked at Rayan, who was smiling maliciously in the dim lantern light as it had grown dark outside.
"I'm happy I'm not the only one." He said still smiling.
"She could have run around all of Nirn with that amount of breath in her lungs." Kumeron said as he tried to not wake the sleeping thief with an angry look on her face that held onto his arm.
"If I can be honest, I'm surprised you didn't paralyze her with a spell or something." Rayan said. "Mhara something else thats for damn sure, but when something serious happens, she listens and does what shes told. Despite the smartass remarks and shit fighting, at least by my standards, she is capable."
Kumeron rubbed the sides of his head with his thumb and middle finger with his free arm.
"Forgive me Master Dawnguard." One of the other wagon riders said. "But I do think you need to teach your apprentice better."
"You can teach all the skills in the world, but you can't teach personality." Rayan responded to the rider.
"True words right there." Kumeron agreed. "We have another day before we stop at where?"
"It's the base of Skyhaven Temple." A high elf said. "Its the home of the Blades."
"Never heard of them." Rayan said.
"The emperors former guard back in the third era?" Kumeron asked.
Rayan shook his head still not knowing.
"Proclaimed dragon hunters." The elf said.
Rayan snickered at that thought.
"What did they teach you at Fort Dawnguard?" Kumeron asked.
"Other than fighting, killing monsters, and dealing with magical oddities?" Rayan asked.
Kumeron nodded his head.
"Well every master is different, but most teach reading, writing, basic counting, and alchemy along with a few other things I can't name at the moment. So long as we are able to read the contract, write a statement if needed, count our coin, brew our oils and potions, the rest we were free to do as we pleased. Though my master took me to learn other things as well." Rayan finished.
"And what about young Mhara here and Erik?" Kumeron asked as he now was set on learning all he couldn't from Erik.
"Victoria took care of Mhara's education if you want to call it that, then she trained her as masters or mentors do with their apprentices." Rayan started again. "As for Erik, his father had already taught him reading and all that. I taught them both how to fight and track monsters. But what about you Kumeron, what all have you learned at the College of Winterhold?"
"For the most part is I know exactly how you feel about being a mentor and master." Kumeron started. "But I mostly leave my students be and let them learn on their own every once in a while I step in if they are doing something dangerous so they don't incinerate themselves."
Rayan nodded his head in agreement.
Kumeron took the opportunity of the silence to close his eyes and take a nap as the wagon wasn't bumping on anything and was moving at a comfortable speed.
"WAKE UP!" Mhara said as she shook Kumeron aggressively.
"We're here." Rayan said as Kumeron came out of his daze then left the wagon.
"Good." He said as he grabbed his staff and got out of the wagon and stretched looking at the gates of the dwemer built city.
He looked at the wagons behind them to see ERik, Victoria, and Serana walking up. Victoria pulled Rayan and Mhara to the side and started talking to them while Erik and Serana went to Kumeron.
