Through the Eyes of a Thief

Victoria was a master thief.

The best thief in all of Skyrim and very possibly all of Tamriel, who could stand in an open field in broad daylight and no one would ever see her, despite being only 22. She was a young and slender nord with storm grey eyes accented with black eyeliner and long flowing black hair that could mimic the night sky. Like her apprentice Mhara, she wore the armor of the Thieves Guild and wielded a sword with a bird on it from a thief in strange black armor who left it for her, after she tried pick pocketing some coins from him when she was younger.

He was the one that honed her natural talent as a thief and the one who got her into the Thieves Guild. Like Rayan she wore a necklace representing her guild except unlike Rayan she kept it hidden and unlike every other guild necklace this one was given to her by him. It was a black ribbon choker with the guilds symbol on a silver piece, and unlike all the guilds necklaces but like every dawnguard medallion it was heavily enchanted. It reminded her of Rayan whenever they were apart. She loved it and never took it off and would kill anyone who tried to take it from her.

Because of the recent issues in Riften she would normally spend most of her days hunting for the Summerset Shadows. But now with Rayan back, she would spend almost everyday and night with him while he helped her hunt the shadows and she helped him with the usual contract to brake up the monotony.

Whenever time permitted it they would spend quality time together. They would talk, drink, catch up on the events across Tamriel, and all around enjoy each others company with the occasional argument but nothing could or will ever strain their relationship.

They were soulmates.

Victoria walked up to a door down in the moat and knelt down sticking two small metal object in the lock trying to pick it while Rayan leaned against the wall next to the door

"You know I can kick it down for you." He said.

"Very sweet of you, but we need to take a more subtle approach." She responded as she opened the door. "See."

She entered the house while Rayan stayed near the entrance and kept watch. He was very good when it came to hunting monsters, but struggled when it came to tracking the shadows and other such likeness.

As always Victoria did a quick look over to see what was in plain sight. Then she started going through the drawers of all the desks looking for false bottoms or hidden crevices. Barely anything at all besides a few letters and flyers from some merchants around the city. Next she looked in the wardrobe and dressers for fake walls and through the clothes pockets.

The wardrobe had several scratches on the base of it. Unless somebody kept scrapping their boots on it she found what she was looking for she just needed to find the way to open it. Victoria concentrated as she moved her hands along the insides of the wardrobe trying to find any difference in the sides. Slowly she a little bump that she immediately pressed on releasing the back of the wardrobe. She pushed the hidden door to one side to show a small room.

"Found it." She called to Rayan.

Victoria went into the room as Rayan still stood guard at the door way. The room had a desk off to the side with several scattered papers, a large table in the middle with flooring layouts and a few chests over to the side.

She first looked at the table, several of the papers were old and looked to be maps of the sewers including the Ratway. She took the papers and moved over to the desk and started searching. It was as if she found a pile of unguarded gold. Everything she needed for her search was there, names, contacts, routes, drop locations, everything the shadows had. She called over Rayan who helped gather it all up when he heard footsteps and moved over to a blind spot near the wardrobe door. Victoria moved over to the desk acting like she didn't hear them in order to draw out the person and get them closer to Rayan.
