Hardin's POV

I lay on the bed with my hands over my face. I take a deep breath. A soft hand tickles as it glides up my arm. I flinch slightly and uncover my face. Tessa sits on the bed next to me, I take her legs and pull them closer to me.

"I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to scare you." I tell her sitting up to kiss her on the forehead.

"What happened when you guys were outside at that restaurant?" She runs her fingers through my hair.

"These guys came up to us trying to start shit. I almost got into it with this guy named Trey but Christian stopped us."

Tessa sighs and sits back against the headboard.

"If you want to go home Hardin I understand."

I give a small smile.

"I just want this to be a good weekend. I want you to be happy Tess, I know you want to stay." I run my fingers against Tessas cheek.

"But if this is too much for you I don't want to put you through this."

"We leave tomorrow. I'll survive it. I don't have to talk to my brother much, you should enjoy the rest of The Weekend." I kiss her forehead.

"I'm going to see what Anastasia has planned for the evening

"I'm going to see what Anastasia has planned for the evening. Maybe I'll help her get dinner started." She says giving me a kiss.

"Well you better go now before I won't let you leave." I say squeezing her bottom.

She gasps.

"Hardin." She giggles swatting at me.

"What — I cant help myself." I throw my head back and laugh.

She gets off the bed and heads for the door.

"I'll see you out there." She says closing the door behind her.

Theodore was right. I do love her. I want to marry her so fucking bad. I can't live without her. Three years ago the thought of marriage never came to my mind, I always expected to be alone, fucking girls but never getting attached. Not until I met Tessa. Tessa changed everything. She made me human, she made me see how good I could be. She made me happy, even in my darkest times. I don't deserve her, I brought her so much sadness through the years and she still came back to me. For that I'm grateful.

As much as I don't want to stay here, in the same house as my brother, I stay here because it makes her happy. Tessa deserves to be happy. She likes Anastasia, I can't believe I'm saying this but I do too. I can only hope Christian truly changed and that Anastasia saved Christian like Tessa saved me.
