Hardin's POV

I open my eyes and roll onto my side facing Tessa. Her arm is draped over my body. I lift her arm up slowly making sure not to wake her. I sit up and get off the bed and head to the bathroom.

I check my phone, looking at the notifications to messages. They're from Vance. I unlock my phone to the messages.

Call me when you get a chance.

I dial his number and the phone rings.

"Hardin I was just going to call you." Vances voice says through the speaker.

"Sorry I just woke up." I say leaning up against the sink.

"How's Christian taking the news?" Vance asks.

I laugh.

"Better than I took it I guess. I mean he didn't burn any couches or anything."

I hear Vance laugh a little.

"Well that's good. Are you still on for lunch tomorrow?" He asks.

"Yeah."

"What about Christian?"

"I think so? I haven't spoken to him yet." I say.

"Well talk to him. I look forward to seeing him. Is he — you know."

"He's sober if that's what you're asking. So try not to piss him off."

"I won't." Vance says. "Try to come by soon. Smith misses you."

"Will do." I say before hanging up.

My relationship with Vance has gotten better since I found out. It's still awkward coming around knowing that he's my father, but I like Smith. Kimberly is pretty cool too, even though she can be annoying as hell sometimes. She's a sweetheart when she wants to be and she's one of Tessas good friends.

I turn on the water and lower my face into the sink, splashing water into my face.

The door clicks open and Tessa walks in, running my back.

I turn around to face her, smiling at her.

"How'd you sleep?" She asks.

"Fine. I just got off the phone with Vance." I say kissing her forehead.

"How did that go?"

"We're going to lunch tomorrow. Christian,  Vance and I."

"Oh. Well I hope everything goes okay."

"Well, he hasn't burned anything — yet." I laugh.

"True. But he is your brother so." Tessa laughs.

I grab her waist and pull her close to me.

"Is that so. Well I'm definitely the better looking brother dont you think." I laugh kissing her.

"Sure." She smiles kissing me back.

"Oh really. You think Christian is better looking." I kiss her again.

"Totally. Don't tell Anastasia." She teases.

I kiss her again lifting her up onto the sink. She grabs my shirt and pulls me close running her fingers down my back.
