Hardins POV

I stand in silence glaring at Christian. How dare Tessa bring me here trapping Christian and I in the same room.

"Well. Shall we sit down? Or are we going to stand the entire night." Vance says taking a seat on the couch. I sit down on the couch across from Vance and Christian follows taking a seat on a chair next to Vance. He knows damn well not to sit near to me.

"I'd offer you guys a drink but..." Vance tries to make a joke.

Christian and I both glare at him. I can feel my jaw tightening.

"Bad joke sorry. Can I offer you any water?" Vance asks.

No one says anything.

"Well. This is fun. I can feel us bonding already." Vance says.

"Maybe Christian wants a drink. Christian what do you say? Double shot Whiskey on the rocks?" I snap.

Christian shoots me a look.

"Alright Hardin cut the shit." He snaps back.

"What? That's what you were drinking at the wedding right?" I ask sarcastically.

"I fucked up okay. What do you want me to say? I fucked up again and I'm sorry."

"Fucked up? Your whole life has been a complete fuck up!"

Christian sinks in his chair letting out a deep breath.

"You caused a scene at my wedding. My fucking wedding. You promised me you quit drinking ten years ago." My voice gets louder.

"I did Hardin! And I fucked up. I called my sponsor and I'm getting help. All the shit piled up I couldn't deal with it anymore the voices in my head just kept replaying over and over in my head." Christian sits up in his chair.

"I don't care! You're fucking dead to me..." I grid through my teeth.

"Enough!" Vance snaps.

Vance turns his attention to me.

"Hardin did you forget how you reacted when you found out about me?"

"We're not talking about that." I snap at Vance.

"Yes we are! You and Christian are alike in so many ways. You're just like me. When you're angry you do things that hurt others. You say things, you get so angry that the rest of the world around you doesn't matter."

"That's it I'm leaving." I get up from the couch and head towards the door.

"Hardin if you walk out that door you're going to regret it." Vance says.

"What are you going to do Vance? What? You're trying to be a father now? Trying to get your fucked up sons to make up? Guess what it's not going to fucking happen." I spin around and snap at Vance.

"I think I should go. I shouldn't of came tonight." Christian gets up from the chair.

"Both of you sit down!" Tessa walks into the room, her voice harsh.

"Tessa go back into the kitchen." I demand.

"Hardin sit down right now." Tessa says pointing to the couch.

I give up and go sit back on the couch without an argument. Christian takes his seat back in the chair.

God I love this woman. She makes me so mad sometimes but I love it when she takes control. It turns makes me hard.

"Now I get you're mad at Christian, Hardin. I'm not too happy with him either, but you can't be mad at him forever. You guys have come so far these last few months. Christian had all this shit thrown at him, just like you did. Do you really think that's fair to have you abandoning him when he needs you  the most?" Tessa lets out a deep breath.

"No." I say quietly.

"And you Christian." Tessa says turning to Christian. "If you ever, pull something like what you pulled at our wedding. I swear it will not end well. Anastasia was very worried about you. We all were. You have two very beautiful children and a very very beautiful wife."

"It won't happen again I swear." Christian says.

"And you Vance. What the hell were you thinking bringing up something like that during our wedding? If you ever pull anything like that again, I will make sure Kimberly makes your life hell." Tessa says to Vance.

"It won't happen again Tessa I'm sorry I shouldn't of brought it up during the wedding." Vance says.

"There. Now. I'll leave you all to talk this out like grown adults. I'm going to go back into the kitchen now. I don't want to hear anyone yelling anymore and no one is leaving this house do I make myself clear?" Tessa says.

"Yes." Christian, Vance and I all say in unison.

Tessa smiles and turns back towards the kitchen.

Christian and I look at each other.

"Please can we just forget about the wedding Hardin? I promise it won't happen again." Christian says.

I take a deep breath and close my eyes.

"It better not happen again. This family clearly cannot handle their liquor. I don't think any of us should be drinking." I let out a laugh trying to lighten the mood.

"This is good. A little father son bonding moment." Vance says.

Christian and I look at each other and roll our eyes.
