The Wedding Ceremony

Hardin's POV

It's time. The day I marry the woman I love. I never thought I would be here, after everything that has happened. But I'm grateful. I'm happy to share this moment with Tessa, who has given me so much these past few years. I love her and I vow to make her the happiest person on this earth.

There's a knock on the door before the door opens. My step brother Landon comes into the dressing room.

He looks at me and smiles.

"Whatever joke you're going to say, save it." I laugh.

"I was just going to say — you clean up nicely don't you."

"As soon as the ceremony is over I'm changing into my jeans and T-shirt." I laugh, knowing Tessa will not let that happen.

The door opens again, this time smith and Vance entering the room.

Vance looks at me and then at Smith, then back at me.

"You clean up very nice. You get your good looks from me you know." Vance laughs.

"Not with that ugly mug of yours." I scoffs, giving Vance a smirk.

Vance gives me a swat on the shoulder and I laugh.

I look over to Smith, who is dressed in his tuxedo. My shortest groomsman.

Smith and I always had a connection, even before we knew we were related. I never liked kids, I always thought they were annoying little shits. But Smith, there was something about smith. He's more mature than other kids, still annoying. But not quite as annoying as other kids I would see in stores or at restaurants. He took a liking to me right away, which is weird because I wanted nothing to do with him. But he's pretty cool I guess.

"You ready kid?" I nudge him.

"Are you ready?" He raises his eyebrow, smirking at me. "It's about time you marry her. I knew you would."

"Shut up would you. Always going on about something." I laugh.

"Has anyone seen Tessa yet?" I ask.

My beautiful bride. I wanted to be with her last night so bad. I wanted to fuck her one last time before getting married. But of course insisted on spending the night in Kimberly's room.

"The bride and groom are not supposed to see each other until the wedding ceremony. It's bad luck."

"Tessa looks beautiful, just wait until you see her." Landon says.

"Well it's just about time. You almost ready?" Vance says.

I adjust my tie in the mirror once more before following Vance, smith and Landon out to the ceremony hall.

As I walk into the ceremony hall, my eyes meet with hers. That's when I see her. There's a tingle in my stomach, my stomach filling with butterflies all over again. Every time I see her, I get them.

She smiles at me, her mother next to her. Her mother turns and looks at me, giving a small smile.

Her mother and I don't necessarily get along still, but she's forgiven me of my past mistakes. She warned me though, saying if I ever hurt her daughter again I would regret it.

I walk up to Tessa, giving her a kiss. It's only been a few hours since I saw her the night before, but I missed her. I always miss her when she's not with me.

"If there weren't all these people here right now I would take you here right now." I whisper in her ear.

She loves it when I talk dirty to her.
