A small black box

3rd person POV
It was kokichi's birthday as well as his and rantaro's 4 year anniversary. A few months before kokichi's birthday rantaro was hanging out with shuichi and somehow the topic of kokichi's birthday came up. "What are you planning on giving him?" Shuichi asked "I don't really know yet I think I might propose to him, I mean it is also our anniversary as well" rantaro answered.

Shuichi was kinda surprised but not much, he was kind of expecting this. " if you want I'll help you out, kokichi is pretty good at seeing through stuff so if you act slightly different he'll become suspicious so I can help with hiding anything" . And he was right, kokichi knew how to see through almost anything and rantaro didn't want to risk kokichi finding out anything. So rantaro agreed with shuichi and shuichi asked a few questions and rantaro gladly answered them.

Rantaro decided that he was going to take kokichi to dinner with shuichi and kaede and then take him to the bridge where they met and propose to him there. And shuichi gave him some advice "if you want to make sure he likes the ring just take him to a jewelry store and see what he likes the most. thats what I did with kaede and it went perfectly". Rantaro nodded "well thanks shuichi I should probably get going, I told kokichi I would be back before 3 I don't want him getting pissed at me like he did last time" rantaro chuckled.

Shuichi laughed a little said bye and rantaro left. Fast forward to about a month before kokichi's birthday and he basically begged rantaro to take him to the mall. Rantaro accepted knowing this might be his only chance to get kokichi's ring. As soon as they got to the mall of course kokichi straight to the jewelry store pulling rantaro along.

Kokichi looked at practically everything the store and annoyed practically everyone in the store with his loudness. "Rantaro! Rantaro! Look! Look!" Rantaro walked over and looked to what kokichi was pointing at. it was a very beautiful diamond ring with the diamond shaped like a heart with other smaller gems around it.

Rantaro simply nodded and said that it looked pretty. And just like a 5 year old right after rantaro responded kokichi ran to the other side of the store to look at something else. Rantaro laughed and thought "god damn I'm to inlove with this man" ( ooo an accidental rhyme) he looked back at the ring and took a picture of it then he walked over to kokichi. "You almost done?" Kokichi nodded enthusiastically like he was waiting for rantaro to ask him that.

After a while of walking around and going into stores rantaro asked if he could go around on his own kokichi nodded and said " you know you don't have to ask me I'm not your mom" rantaro simply laughed and nodded and walked back to the jewelry store.

After he bought the ring and sent an f out to his bank account and he started thinking about where to hide it. He knew he was going to see shuichi tomorrow so for the moment being he just shoved it in his pocket and folded the bag and put it in some other bag.

They met back up at the entrance and kokichi passed out as soon as he sat down in the car. (starts silently singing "tear in my heart") rantaro knew that it was basically impossible to wake kokichi up so he took this opportunity to call shuichi. "Hey rantaro what's up?" Shuichi said "not much but I did just get kokichi's ring" rantaro quieted down just incase kokichi decided to suddenly wake up " ok if you need to you can leave it at my house tomorrow and I'll give it to before we go to dinner on kokichi's birthday" "ok thanks bye shuichi" "bye" and the shuichi hung up.

Fast forward to kokichi's birthday
It was time, after kokichi hung out with kaede practically the whole day and having fun while shuichi spent practically all day trying to calm down rantaro they met at the restaurant and rantaro blushed as soon as he saw kokichi and then he realized that he wasn't wearing on concealer to hide is freckles. Kaede noticed this and walked over to rantaro with a smirk and whispered " I basically forced him to not wear concealer because I knew you liked his freckles" rantaro just sighed and side eyed kaede. She just let out a muffled laugh. " hey guys hurry up I'm hungry!" Called out a slightly angry kokichi.

After dinner and after embarrassing kokichi with the restaurant staff singing the happy birthday song ,they headed over to the bridge. While rantaro was trying to calm down he heard kokichi talking to kaede " kaede it's been like what a year since shuichi proposed to you?! Like, when will rantaro finally propose to me" this caused kaede to laugh knowing what's about to go down and it also caused rantaro to calm down.

Once they arrived at the bridge kokichi went directly to the edge of the bridge to look over the edge. It truly looked beautiful. Kaede started recording while rantaro tapped kokichi shoulder. "Yes-" kokichi stopped in the middle of his sentence and looked in awe at rantaro who's down on one knee " kokichi I've known and been dating you for 4 years to this day and I want to ask you a very important question" kokichi covered his mouth with his hand and started to cry as rantaro opened the ring box with the ring kokichi liked inside " will you marry me?" Kokichi still crying yelled out " YES ONE MILLION TIMES YES" and fell down on to rantaro hugging him. Rantaro lifted up him and kokichi and put the ring on kokichi's finger.

Kaede was fan girl screeching even though she knew this going to happen and stopped recording. Shuichi just gave them a really wide smile. " h-how long were y-ou planning this" kokichi still crying but less. Rantaro just laughed and said "about a few months". "kaede did you know about this?" Kokichi questioned kaede nodded in response. Kokichi just ran over to hug her and show her the ring. Shuichi walked over to rantaro " those two are really best friends aren't they?" Shuichi said rantaro nodded and smiled watching the two being adorable together.

"Kokichi always acts a little different around her, I never seen him so happy around any of his other friends." " hey,rantaro you did really good you didn't even stutter like I did" " yeah I remember ,that it was hilarious and she also reacted the same way that kokichi is reacting right now" after dropping kaede and shuichi off at their home kokichi and rantaro drove home. And before falling asleep kokichi muttered " ya know rantaro I love you" and he made a weird heart with his hands. " I love you to kokichi"

I probably should stop writing before I trail off because Florida isn't working today and I'm fucking freezing and the cold some how makes me trail off and makes me tired and angry so I'm gonna stop now.
