Yes i know this is a little early, and yes I am going to make a Christmas and a different New Years chapter which I already have ideas for. But I just wanted to write this before I forget about it.Also sorry this is shorter than usual
3rd person POV :
It's around 11 pm and almost the first day of the new year, the new decade . The 4 roommates were planning on staying inside and having a movie marathon. They were in the middle of around the 5 movie when they heard a loud boom from outside, fireworks. Kokichis eyes lit up as he ran to the nearest window. "GUYS! Pause the movie and come look outside!"
Kaede and shuichi went over to the window as rantaro stayed on the couch not wanting to get up. "wow... it looks stunning" the blonde said in awe. "not as stunning as you" the detective said unintentionally flirting. "jeez, get a room you two. You're always yelling at us when we think we're home alone. but you just do it when we are obviously here." kokichi rolled his eyes. "we don't talk about that incident" rantaro yelled from the couch. "wait! I know a place where we can get a better view. Follow me and that also means you too rantaro." The smallest boy said while grabbing his phone and keys.
The tallest one got up begrudgingly got up and followed the others. "hey kokichi where are we even going?" shuichi asked "to the roof of course!" "wait is that even allowed?" "who cares do you really care about rules that much?" kokichi responded while opening the roof door. "wow you're right kokichi this is so much better." kaede said sitting down near the edge followed by kokichi sitting next to her. "I told you so!" "how many times have to been up here?" The avocado questioned sitting behind his boyfriend and pulling him on to his lap. "I go up here whenever I'm stressed, because it's so high up no one goes up here and the wind is nice." he said pulling his hair back into a small ponytail. The four spent the rest of the night on the roof talking and of course taking photos for memories.
They could feel it getting later so kokichi check checked the time. 11:58 "two more minutes till the new decade!" he exclaimed excited. "so before it's to late, can you take a picture of me and rantaro?" he asked handing his phone to kaede. "yeah sure" "ranran give me your face" rantaro looked down confused. Kokichi cupped his face and kissing the taller boy. Rantaro kissed back and moved his hands to kokichis hips just as a firework went off behind them. "and... done!" Kaede said while giving kokichi his phone back. The two love birds separated "happy new year's babe" rantaro whispered. Kokichi smiled widely and blushed " happy New Years to you too"
