3rd person POV
Rantaro walked up to the door and checked his phone 1:30 a.m he yawned he just came back from a 2 week-long trip. It wasn't uncommon for him to be back so late and be away for so long but usually, kokichi would usually come with him but this time it was different not for any really important he just didn't feel like it and rantaro didn't like arguments so he didn't ask.
He slowly and quietly opened the door making sure to not wake kokichi knowing that he was for sure asleep even though he also knew that kokichi could sleep through the end of the world. He closed the door behind him in the same way and locked it, putting his bags by the door. He didn't like admitting it but whenever kokichi didn't go with him he felt homesick, he didn't like the fact that kokichi was usually the only thing he missed.
He opened the door to their bedroom and found the boy he missed so dearly looking absolutely adorable, hugging a pillow tightly, in what rantaro assumed was one of his hoodies because kokichi stole them any time he could, lightly sleep talking, with an extremely calm face. Rantaro sat down next to him lovingly stroking his hair with a small smile on his face.
"ran...taro" Kokichi mumbled his face changing from calm to slightly distressed moving his hand like he was trying to grab something. "shhh I'm here kokichi don't worry" knowing that there's a huge possibility that kokichi had no clue he was even talking but he didn't care. Kokichi face almost instantly changed into a calm smile before rolling over on his side
Rantaro got back up to get changed and because again he didn't want to wake kokichi up he just slept in the guest room. He woke up at 10 am the same day. He left the room and went down to the kitchen and was greeted by kokichi sitting on the counter going through his phone. "How did you even get up there?" Rantaro asked. Kokichi looked up quickly looking terrified "AH! Oh hey rantaro you scared me... wait rantaro?!?" Kokichi said hopping off the counter and quickly ran over to rantaro and hugged him almost tackling him to the ground. "IMISSEDYOUSOMUCHWHYDIDNTYOUCALLMEMOREOFFTEN" kokichi yelled basically too quick to hear.
"Heh I missed you too kichi"
