Rantaro was getting ready to go to his parent's house even though he really didn't want to. "ranran where are you going?" kokichi asked hugging his arm. "my parent's house I'll be back later" rantaro said putting his hand on the smaller one's head "do they still think-" "yeah they still think we're just friends" he said slightly upset. Somehow they still think that he and kokichi are just friends even though they are married and have adopted a child. Kokichi laughed a little "well if yumi asks that's what I'll tell her. Have fun rantaro love you" Kokichi said letting go off rantaro, giving him a kiss on the cheek before walking off

Time skip for convince

Rantaro reluctantly knocked on the door. "hello rantaro honey great to see you come in you're just in time" rantaros mom said waving for him to come in. He walked in and took a seat at the table. After a long period of awkward silence, his mom spoke up "so how's what's his name" "his names kokichi mom" rantaros said just wanting to eat "yeah kokichi how is he doing" rantaro shrugged "good I think" his mom sighed "you live with him you should know. Also how long do you think you'll live him?" "as long as I can" his mom nodded "so will you ever get married," his dad asked "of course I will" rantaro replied "on the topic of marriage we have a young lady that we'd like for you to marry" rantaro almost spit out his drink " excuse me?" "you heard your father we have someone for you to marry to carry on the family."

Rantaro cleared his throat "I'm sorry I can't do that" his mom looked at him confused "but you aren't married or even dating" rantaro sighed not wanting his relationship to come out like this
" I do in fact have someone waiting for me at home"
"oh, so you moved out with kokichi?"
"No, I didn't"
"Does he have a child you're helping take care of?"
"Yes but it's also mine"
"So you adopted a kid together that's sweet and all but you are supposed to marry a woman and have a child with her not move in with your friend and adopt one" is mom said getting annoyed
"We're married" rantaro muttered not even being able to hear. "Repeat that again mister," she said fully pissed now

"I said we're married," he said holding up hand showing his wedding ring. "Why did you marry your roommate!?!?" She yelled his father just left them by now. "Mom he's more than my roommate. He was my boyfriend and now he's my husband and we have a daughter" he said staying calm. "no-no-no. You aren't married to him that's not how we raised you. You are just looking for an excuse to not marry the girl we want you to. I bet that the wedding ring is fake so hand it over its not worth anything" of course rantaro didn't give it to her. "I'm leaving," rantaro said heading to the door.

"wait, honey, please don't" she begged him "no I'm sorry. I'm not staying. Bye Mrs.Amami" he said closing the door. He was sitting in the train station waiting for his to get here before realizing he should probably call kokichi. After a few rings, kokichi picked up. "hey ranran how's it going?" "fine, just something with my mom happened I will explain it when I get home" "did she find out?" "yup" he heard kokichi giggle which took him out of his bad mood. "this will be an interesting story." the rantaros train pulled in " I have to go now kichi I will see you when I get home, love, you," kokichi said bye back before hanging up.

Fast forward for plot

Rantaro unlocked the door and was greeted by Kokichi hugging him. "welcome home" he sounded tired "now tell me the story" "ok I will" rantaro sat on the couch kokichi cuddled into him as he told him what happened. "oh jeez that sucks well don't worry that now you're home" kokichi leaned in and gave rantaro a kiss before falling asleep. "thanks Koichi you make it all worth it" rantaro whispered before carrying the sleeping kokichi back to their room.
