3rd person POV
You are my sunshine, my only sunshineRantaro carefully looked over the small bouquet of lavender and roses in his hand. The types of flowers he remembers as being kokichi's favorite. The way his eyes lit up whenever he was given them, was something that was always special to Rantaro. His other hand a can of grape panta, kokichis favorite drink. The fridge of their apartment always had at least one can in it.
You make me happy when skies are gray
After a bit of stalling outside of his destination trying his best to make himself to enter the area, Rantaro finally was able to convince himself, only as a raindrop fell on his shoulder. He quickly made his way past anything he would see as a distraction until he reached the grave he needed to go to. There was already some flowers placed in front of the grave with "in loving memory of Kokichi Oma
June 21 20xx- may 2 20xx" carved into it. He let out a deep sigh placing the bouquet in front of it the panta besides it before sitting down putting his knees to his chest. "Hey kichi... it's been a year..." rantaro started up knowing he was really only talking to himself. You'll never know dear how much I love you
"I miss seeing you smile. I miss hearing your voice. I miss being able to hold you. I miss being able to wake up with you every morning. I miss hearing you laugh. I just miss you in general. There was so much I was never able to say, so much I was never able to do. I know that you probably want me to move on but it kinda hard to do that." Rantaro spoke more to himself, a low tone only he was able to here, as more rain fell on and around him. "The worlds been a darker place without you. It's crazy how everything just continues after someone dies. I loved you more then I can explain in words or that I can show through actions..." the more he spoke the more memories of the times they've spent together coming back as he felt a tear roll down his cheek. "you don't even know I'm here, but it feels nice to even just pretend to talk to you"
Please don't take me sunshine away...
"I should stop talking, I'm just speaking to air aren't I?" more tears ran down his face as he stopped talking as if he was waiting for an answer. "I honestly don't know what I'm waiting for, I won't get a response..." he finally finished up wiping his eyes as the short rain session stopped and the cloud parted. Revealing the bright sunshine from behind them.
