Part 2. of my It's New York baby - mini-whatchamacallit thing. It's  drastically shorter than pt.1 I know, I know. Pt. 3 is in production, thanks for your patience (if there is any left for my irregular-uploading ass)

The rest of the evening, Harry wouldn't leave me alone for a second. Always having an arm around me and pushing the other boys aside he acted like an overprotective boyfriend. Which he probably wasn't implying to be like, but it still messed with my head a little. Also did he act obvious to the fact that he was being a needy imp, and the other boys made sure to pick on him for that. "Hey Harry, are you sure you can walk around without her? It's just that you seem like an invalid dog, running after her the whole time. Give her a break man." Louis mused at one point, but Harry only shove him off. "She is not mad at me, I got to live it out to the fullest." And with that he pulled me down on a couch and just sat there with me until the others had ordered pizza and agreed on a movie we should watch. As it came to say goodnight, he wouldn't let me leave them. "Stay. You can't go out there alone and I can't accompany you without getting mobbed." Liam nodded agreeing. "It really isn't safe out there for you love." I sighed and nodded slowly. "I know I know...I mean I live here in New York. It's just that I have nothing here to sleep over." Harry shot me a weird look. "Have one of my tee's as always. You've done it a couple o'times by now, haven't ya. Where's the problem in that?" I felt my face heating up as I quickly shrugged it off. "I just thought that maybe now that you are dating again..." I started but Harry snorted. "Stop bullshitting me bird. Come on, let's get you ready for bed." He helped me getting up and I said goodnight to the rest of the boys before following Harry into his bedroom. "What's up with you? Why so shy, you know me for ages." I just shrugged it off, hiding my slightly flustered face. "I don't know. I mean I just never lashed out at you like that." I just said. It was a lame excuse for the tingle that I felt in the pit of my stomach whenever he'd call me one of his pet names or whenever he wrapped his arm around my waist to rest his head on my shoulder. It wasn't like the tingle was all new – I had always felt attracted to him in a way somehow – it just never affected me like that. And it also scared me to a certain point, because you shouldn't feel that way towards your best friend, right? Harry turned around, his washed out The rolling stones shirt in his hands. "Well I did deserve it, don't you think? But it's all good now. S' that one okay?" I nodded thankfully and grabbed the shirt. With a quick movement I slipped out of my shirt and pulled his over my head. As I looked up again, I caught Harry blushing slightly and quickly turning around. "Thank you Harry. Can I have a blanket, maybe for the couch please?" Harry shot me another bewildered look. "Love, you are not sleeping on the couch tonight. It's either me, or you endure my presence in the bed with you. Stop being distant." I pouted shortly. "I am sorry I didn't mean it like that. I really didn't. I just wanted to keep some distance in case you need it or something." Harry just crocked a disbelieving eyebrow at me, before slipping under the covers. "Whatever you say. Now come here you little missus." I rolled my eyes before I joined him in bed. "Don't get all cocky now H." Harry just chuckled before lazily wrapping one arm around my waist. "But you love me so much." I sighed softly. "That I do." More than he knew, actually.

Since Harry had to get up at seven, and I had nothing to do except a transcription of an interview I would publish for the daily mail with one of their CEO's I decided to just stay in bed. "We'll be back at around eight to nine pm...you going home between that?" I nodded sleepily. "Guess so. You and the boys can come over for breakfast tomorrow if you like?" he hummed and yawned before leaving the bedroom. I closed my eyes again trying to shift back into my light slumber.

"Thanks for inviting us bird." Harry said with a warm smile after I handed him a mug of tea. Louis hummed approvingly, sipping lightly at his. "What have you done yesterday? Stayed over for long?" Liam asked, as he helped me carrying the toast to the table. "Not that long...maybe till nine? Had to do a bit of transcription and then tried to set up that bloody bookshelf but it just wouldn't go right...so please ignore it yeah? Oh, and good thing that the door locks automatically by the way, I would've had no key." Niall nodded. "Haven't thought about that...would you pass me the salt please?" Louis and Harry quickly sat down as well. "And what are you up to today?" I asked as we all started to eat in peace. Liam shrugged chewing and Zayn grabbed the orange juice before answering. "I think we'll be out exploring the city. New York's always great to be." I nodded slowly, looking out the window. "But it isn't all that warm outside. Bit foggy." Louis nodded almost excited. "Better for us. Less people and it doesn't stick out if you wear scarfs and stuff. Foggy is better for us." I gave him a sad smile. "Right...I'm sorry." Harry chuckled. "Sorry for what?" I shrugged simply, grabbing myself a toast. "I don't know. For you not even being able to walk the streets in peace." Niall threw me an amused wink before raising his cup. "I mean we are famous what do you expect. Biggest stars on the planet, successful and good looking." I snorted and shook my head. "Idiot." Niall just laughed. "And what are you up to today?" Zayn asked Harry and me. I shrugged, looking over to him. "We could set up that quote; bloody bookshelf and then watch a movie or such?" I grinned and nodded slowly. "If you really want to do that to you...you know I have no talent setting shit up." He just patted my back. "Challenge accepted. This will be the most bestest bookshelf you have ever set up in your life."

Louis helped me out with the dishes whilst Zayn and Liam cleared the table. Harry had connected his phone with the speakers and helped nothing with the excuse that a jockey should never leave its spot. I shove him off for that. Niall had started to put away the washed plates and glasses. It was a peaceful morning and I enjoyed the company of every single one of them. After they all left except for Harry, we immediately started with the bookshelf. Harry turned out to be way more talented that I was (not that this was anyhow hard to be) and he fixed it up pretty well. "Hand me the hammer please." He mumbled absentmindedly, carefully placing the last bolt at it's rightful place. I handed him the tool, leaning back for a bit. After a few strong blows it was set and my bookshelf ready. "Its beautiful thank you Harry. I don't think I would've managed that." Harry grinned proudly. "Tha's why you have me bird. Look at it! It's prettier than Zayn." I snorted and shook my head. "Sure. You probably do good not telling him that." Harry shrugged before plopping on the couch. "What now? Wanna go for a walk..." he started but I quickly interrupted him. "I would rather watch a movie now and order food, if that's okay with you..." I asked sheepishly and he rolled his eyes. "You gon' get me fat one day." But he agreed, switching the tv on with a swift move. "Netflix or..." I nodded absentmindedly, searching through my phone for the number of that delicious Thai-take away I felt like eating. "Should we just search for romantic comedies on Netflix and then see what we find?" Harry asked, turning around to me. "Yeah do whatever. You down for Thai food?" Harry nodded, before quickly clicking on a movie. "What is it?" I asked, a sly grin appearing on his lips. "You've never watched it with me before." He said innocently and I threw him a look. "It's the notebook right?" he just shrugged, reaching out to me. "I don't know, t'was a bit blurry when I pressed it." I sighed and dropped on the couch next to him, immediately leaning against him. "Idiot. But okay, have your will." He grinned excitedly, pressing a quick peck on my scalp before pressing play. "I'll order food quickly...you like fired rice and sweet and sour stuff?" Harry nodded, eyes glued on the screen. "You know what I like, just order." He said with a quick smile and I nodded, quickly stepping back into the kitchen to make the call.

Maybe forty minutes into the movie, Harry and I happily munching our food, Harry's phone ringed. We both jolted up, and I almost spilled my rice by the loud sound. "Bloody hell..." Harry mumbled before trying to stop the movie, put his rice down and grab his phone all at the same time. "Who's it?" I whispered after a smile spread on his face. "Uh...Kendall. Gotta take that one really quick if you don't mind." I shrugged, turning away again, facing the screen. "Hey love what's up? Everything alright?" Harry asked softly into his phone and I closed my eyes. I shouldn't feel jealous now, I really shouldn't. but somehow I was – somehow in a fucked up, selfish way I was and I didn't want to share Harry with anyone. "You are here in New York right now? Where?" my head snapped up and I stared at him with wide eyes. "No way...that's like five minutes from my best friends flat...where I am at currently." Oh no please no...my heart dropped and I couldn't help but give him an unbelieving look. He wouldn't invite his girlfriend over in my flat during our movie night wouldn't he? "I am sure you can come around quickly to say hello..." he said, still that smile on his lips. With a huff I pushed the blanket from my legs and got up, getting myself a glass of water. "Okay see you in five." Harry hung up, an excited sparkle in his eyes. "Kendall's coming around to say hello, you don't have a problem with that do you?" I turned around to him, giving him a long look. "I mean it would've been nice if you'd asked me first but I guess so. How long will she stay?" I noticed that my voice was icier than before, Harry seemed to notice it too. "I mean...maybe ten minutes. Not long. I promise." I just nodded, sitting back next to him again. Without another word I returned to the movie, but this time I sat so far away from Harry, that I didn't touched him no where. "Hey...uhm are...are you mad now?" he asked carefully and I shrugged. "Let's just watch this okay?" I answered short cut, not in the mood for talking. Harry just nodded, side eyeing me carefully.
